Demo by Greg V. http://www.gregvmusic.com The guitars are factory stock: Fender Nocaster Tele, Gibson ES-335 Fat Neck but the Hamer Talladega has Seymour Duncan pickups. The demo mainly features the Mosaic with the guitars direct into it, however a few samples use a Resonant Electronic Graviton Boost and MXR Carbon Copy Delay pedal. A small amount of room reverb was added in post production.

Dec 20, 2010 - Greg, I love your guitar playing; an inspiring blend of virtuosity and taste. How do you feel the Tungsten Mosaics 8" and 12" compare to the Swart Space Tone Atom and STR Tweed as a recording/possibly jazz-volume gigging amps. I'm currently leaning towards the Swarts (amazing reverb being no small factor) but this demo caught my ear and being able to have more wattage and 12" speaker for less money is inticing as well. Any sagely advice? Thanks and kudos, Jesse

Dec 29, 2010 - Greg, was the amp at peak volume around 5 or 6 and the rest was just adding gain from being pushed?

Arttuonline Says:

Jan 9, 2011 - It's pure joy to listen to this and to watch too!

GregVmusic Says:

Jan 12, 2011 - Thank you! IMO, both the Tungsten and Swart amps are killer, super musical and inspiring. I've not played a STR for very long but really liked it. For lower volume either of these amps would be a possible option (for my approach) but you'd really need to plug in yourself to see.

GregVmusic Says:

Jan 12, 2011 - No it keeps getting a bit louder and gainier as you turn the volume up.

GregVmusic Says:

Jan 12, 2011 - Thank you!

Jan 13, 2011 - Hey thanks for the advice but actually I think I've decided to save the extra dough and grab an AST. I'm usually not that kinda guy but I'm rapidly becoming a Swart fanboy.

Arttuonline Says:

Jan 16, 2011 - You are welcome! I especially love that part with Tele around 5:11-7:11.I'm looking forward to get my own champ (either 5F1 or 5F2A) ordered... I think I'm going to get it with 10'' speaker. Not as small as an 8'' but not too boomy as 12'' either!

GregVmusic Says:

Jan 19, 2011 - Sounds like a great choice, hope you enjoy your new amp.

Feb 16, 2011 - 8:26 - 9:37. Great sounds! the amp sounds way better with that riff with the boost off

inscizor Says:

Feb 20, 2011 - Great sound, and great playing! I'm curious what kind of mic you are using on the amp?

GregVmusic Says:

Feb 21, 2011 - Cool, thanks!

GregVmusic Says:

Feb 21, 2011 - Thank you, I use a Shure SM7b for close mic and Cascade Fat Head II w/ Lundahl transformer for a room mic.

rtmilster Says:

Mar 30, 2011 - what was your guitar's volume at throughout this? does this amp clean up very well with p90s?

GregVmusic Says:

Mar 30, 2011 - The guitars volume was turned up full. It's a very touch sensitive, dynamic circuit that responds well to volume changes and all pickup types really well.
