Apr 20, 2011 - of course you're right! no technology can save a bad singer from being a pain for sensitive ears :-D, or maybe technology do can, but this is absolutely not the case, no need for special tricks here. i was just pointing out there's a lot of work from sound technicians even in the most simple or informal situations. a good singer just makes the tech work much simpler, with a final result of fine quality.

Apr 20, 2011 - can you imagine the same situation back in the day everything had to be done manually? hehehe... a friend of mine actually did work in a recording studio in the early 90'. no autotune back then, still bad singers with high investments from the majors were recording, and the recordings of the voice tracks had to be "tuned" still. it was a nightmare.
