Notation and TABS: http://goo.gl/vfXc1 (Get this tab FREE)Official CD: http://goo.gl/LZhqgOfficial Website: http://goo.gl/QTFSLFacebook: http://goo.gl/Ic1qITwitter: http://goo.gl/YgcQGItunes: http://goo.gl/y5uD9CDbaby: http://goo.gl/1E5rRBandCamp: http://goo.gl/ZcxuUSoundCloud: http://goo.gl/cQjcVI just learned that the author of this version of "Malaguena" is Charles Duncan. He was an author for the publisher Hal Leonard. Duncan used to give this arrangement of Malaguena out to his students. I have been wondering who the author might be...as I found it on somewhere on the internet along with a bunch of public domain songs and thought it was anonymous. Hal Leonard just contacted me and graciously alerted me to the name original author. I am glad to know and share the information with you as I really like this arrangement. It is fun to play and not too difficult. The Edward B. Marks company, another publisher, was not so gracious when they mistakenly claimed this song under their copyright. They filed the claim with youtube which resulted in the take down of this video for several weeks. The Marks company owns the copyright to "Malaguena" by Ernesto Lecuana, a totally different song. Malaga is a region of Spain and has inspired numerous pieces of music. The first published guitar piece called "Malaguana" that I have found is by Francisco Tarrega (b.1850)....which has the same melodic main theme as the song in this video. One of these days I'd like to do a video for Tarrega's version as well.

Apr 25, 2012 - Sorry but u r wrong about everything you've said. 1. There is a mexican song of the same name (La malagueña) which is quite famous. BTW this suite was NOT composed by a spaniard but by a CUBAN (Ernesto Lecuona), so there you have that the two most famous songs on Málaga were composed by non-spaniardsPS: Did u know that the song "Granada" and the famous chotís "Madrid", were both composed by the mexican songwriter Agustín Lara even though he didn't know either Granada or Madrid. What about that?

billybobhortons Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - is this fucking idiot serious right now....your a fucking retard just cuz there is a mexican malaguena it doesnt mean its mexican...the original malaguena is from spain its spanish exclusive you fuckin shcmuck fucker ill fuckin beat the shit outta you watch

ElClionauta Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - Listen MOFO, surely there are LOTS of malagueñas from Spain BUT the one you can listen in this video was composed by the CUBAN Ernesto Lecuona, this "malagueña" is part of his suite "Andalucía". Google it and you'll easily find who composed it (Lecuona) and his nationality.Besides there's an uber-famous mexican song of the same name also known as "Malagueña salerosa".These are true facts, if you are too ignorant or if you live in denial, sorry that's your fault, not mine! fucking asshole!

ElClionauta Says:

Apr 25, 2012 - Just one thing more, Charles Duncan just arranged this version of Lecuona's famous Malagueña. Duncan is not the composer, just in case you believed that. The true and only composer is Lecuona who born in Guanabacoa, Cuba. The "other" famous Malagueña song (not to be confused with Lecuona's), as I stated before, was composed by two mexicans (Pedro Galindo and Elpidio Ramírez)GOT IT??
