Jul 18, 2011 - They toured with the Who early on and Pete said point blank they "blew us off the stage" The Stones got the same treatment. This was a FANTASTIC live band. Unlike today, they had to tour to make a living and they mastered their craft. Today you sit in a basement and e mail a "recording" to whoever. Sad.

I know that no one can touch Skynyrd, but it seems like there are no more "live" "rock" bands nowadays. its like modern bands suck poo live, and just get super overproduced in the studio till they're songs are just glitzed out horseshit for the radio. you don't have to be a Skynyrd fan to know what I'm talking about. I'm not an older fan, in fact this was filmed the year i was born. Ronnie is my hero, and if you ask me... THIS... IS... MUSIC.
