May 17, 2009 - He was my primary piano teacher. Got kicked out of piano by my 2nd teacher (BOREDOM!) then focused on the songs Iiked. I'd play Super Tramp, Yes, Elp & EJ & cop licks. But with Billy Joel I would sit and learn the songs section by section. I had the turntable by the piano & would lift the needle over and over till I got it right. Sometimes I'd get 45rpms & slow them down to 33, practicing till I could play along & never miss a lick, thus even learning to play in time!Thanks Billy!
