Frank talks about the National Endowment for the Arts and defends its position on how it should be supported and how the tax payers money should be used to fund operas, orchestras, ballet, choral music etc. He speaks with Bob Beckel, Pat Buchanan, Congressman William Dannemeyer. Both Pat and William had a steady position on the issue that NEA should not be funded at all and on the other side Frank and Bob talk about the fact that NEA should be funded properly and problems in the allocation of US budget. Let the musician sell albums and concert tickets and let the painter paint and exhibit his own art with his own money or raise the money himself. Let's start there with the tax cuts!

However, the real principle here was that they wanted to control and directly influence the influx and flow of Artistic creativeness that was aimed to elevate the conscious awareness in people against those in "Power" as they do in the music industry (Or did do). They wanted not to STOP the money, but moreover; choose where it would be given to stop funding "Bad Art"

May 18, 2012 - I enjoy watching past discussions on programmes such as Crossfire involving Mr. Frank Zappa. Such an intelligent, thoughtful, insightful, and articulate man. He was also one of the finest guitar players that ever lived. I'm sure that there are many who don't know this about Zappa. For me, his death due to prostate cancer was a tremendous tragedy as is the case for all who fall victim to cancer; and there are far too many. Your music brought joy to my life. I miss you Frank Zappa.
