gymmonkey4life Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - THANK YOU!!!! more people die from falling vending machines than sharks

gymmonkey4life Says:

Feb 13, 2012 - think thats a dolphin...... sharks are much bigger and die when they stop moving but nice vid anyway

Mahgwa Says:

Feb 14, 2012 - Ya but falling out of bed doesn't rip you apart limb from limb and swallow you, sort of less scary way to die than a shark attack.

AnalogAfrica Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - Its a shark...thats so obvious. Check the end of the video..,,and do you see anything snaping for air?

gymmonkey4life Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - yeah i think your right, but i swear this was a different video last time i watched it.... not like trying to give excuse though out of all seriousness

AnalogAfrica Says:

Feb 16, 2012 - There another youtube clip about the news on SA tv about that particular attack. The crazy thing is that the shark was spotted 90 min before the attack and a huge black flag was raised to warn about folks not to enter water....he went :)

Mar 4, 2012 - @gymmonkey4life You're wrong. Dolphins move their tail fins in a dorsal ventral motion when they swim, as opposed to sharks, which have a lateral movement. Also, a shark is fine providing water is flowing over its gills. It doesn't necessarily have to be swimming to achieve this, sub marine currents will do just fine. It is definitely a shark.

Mar 24, 2012 - Mastersteef123 no they're not they're Afrikans. Was the person attacked ok afterwards? I love fish hoek but I would never in a million years swim in that water!

MotionPictureMaster Says:

Mar 30, 2012 - That is amazing! I mean not the accident part, that sort of sucks for whomever got bitten, but the shark chilling near the coast. Any guesses as to what species it might be? Looks like a young great white or maybe a tiger shark.

MotionPictureMaster Says:

Mar 30, 2012 - Nevermind, just saw the dorsal fin. That is definitely a great white.

pmaentst Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - Yeah man that was a silly analogy, that many people did NOT die falling out of bed. And sharks are dangerous. Stop being an apologist for an eating machine that only knows "Eat, Breed, Eat, Breed" they don't have the same thoughts as humans think. they don't specify what they eat, they just eat what ever they can get when they're hungry. What needs to be done are more fences in populated areas, and continued work on those frequency modulators surfers started wearing. They disturbed sharks off.

NeonPurpleMonkey Says:

Apr 23, 2012 - Hilarious comment! I thought that was an out of line statistic myself. Pure nonsense.

lindseyn217 Says:

Apr 27, 2012 - Ya... Unless your one of those 7... Then you are probably thinking "I choose falling out of bed!"

zzothsd55 Says:

Apr 28, 2012 - dit is goed en grappig

chinhido2 Says:

May 4, 2012 - It's a Tiger Shark, you can tell by the dark stripes on the sides & it's a shark not a dolphin. It's Caudal Fin is Vertical & obviously it is sick or dying because it's surfaced trying to breathe Air. On it's side.If it was a great white it would have a thicker beak &the Caudal & Dorsal fin would extend longer.I thought it was a thrasher at first but I noted the stripes and remembered that Tigers are one of the only sharks that will migrate that close to shore & Thrashers are open water. wlcm

chinhido2 Says:

May 4, 2012 - It has swim bladder problems, sick or injured. Internal organ failure is probably the cause. I am over 50% sure it's a Tiger because most of the weight is forward.

May 21, 2012 - I wonder why they dont cull these menacing shadows/sharks that cause probs?that said, i do realize the species does not have to b wiped out either! I just think they might lift any fishing bans/laws and allow -sports fishermen & have sum- gentlemen in 'shark control' help reduce dangerously large 'Trouble' sharks- so that you and ur family and friends can enjoy using the beach again.
