It's like their brain becomes adultlike far quicker than the norm, but then doesn't develop further whilst their peers gradually catch up. Although that's not to say some people aren't exceptionally smart either, but this is true of people who were never child prodigies as well.

May 25, 2012 - that child said ayer.... which 'could' be translated into some language that which happened to be a word... or he just made a noise as most babys do, and i bet you i could translate most of those noises to some obscure languages,Or the baby could have made a connection with that noise/sound and getting a drink - the parent probably then encouraged him to say it for a drink assuming it was a word from another language - just something i was thinking while watching this not looking for an argument

His first word was Air (pronounced Ayer), which is the Malay for water. It wasn't a random sound in a random language. It was water in the language those nearest to him were speaking - apart from his father, who spoke English. So, it is a very simple case of using an actual word, in an actual language, in the right context, at the the right time. Got it?
