I mean I like the fact that the Occupy Wall Street protesters bring up a legitimate point of influence of money in politics ("campaign contributions") but seriously let's not go to the extreme and blame a single entity for what happened to our economy.... Oct 27, 2011 - I'm not saying that the bailouts constituted a bad idea, but they should have come with contingencies and requirements (i.e. if we give you this taxpayer money, you are required to invest a certain portion of it in job creation, small business loans, home refinancing, a higher capital gains tax for your employees, much smaller bonuses and golden parachutes, et al.).
