Notice that as the dolphin goes under water, it continues to sound like a motorboat motor, complete with the characteristic gurgle. He's not just immitating the sound the motor makes, he's imitating the motor itself, though we'd probably need sophisticated ultrasound equipment in order be able to appreciate this.
