If you don't believe me, watch the movie and pay attention in the scene where General Hummel speaks about the terms of the ransom he wants with the people at the pentagon. He goes into detail about what happened to a bunch of his men during an operation in Desert Storm. Sure, like any General he's fought in more than one war and probably bitter from everything, but that is neither here nor there during the film.

I would want to give a handshake to Jerry Bruckheimer instead cause he weren't the most famous person before this movie but he have truly made a awesome job since he worked on this movie. And he did a awesome job in this movie.Yeah he did some awesome movies before this to, like Top Gun, But as everyone else i have to say that this is a truly amazing movie intro.
