Soxogram Says:
Dec 27, 2010 - The Kennedys were good people. They tried to make things right for the United States. It wasn't perfect, but it was what we had.
ftsjr Says:
Feb 3, 2011 - I turned 11 years old in 1968 and, had I been old enough, I may have voted for RFK for president, had he not been killed. However, being from NY, I wouldn't have voted for him in 1964, when he ran for the senate. It was obvious, even to the most ardent Kennedy supporter, that he planned to use the office as a stepping stone to the white house. He had no intention of serving the people of NY at all. And that's just how it worked out.
JoesRambles Says:
Feb 11, 2011 - Gee whiz, he is scaring the crap out of those poor kids!
andrelebaron Says:
Feb 13, 2011 - he'd have created even bigger deficits and unfunded liabilities than the rest of the hippy era politicians.
micmac99 Says:
Feb 27, 2011 - So the BP oil spill is bullshit?
snoops71 Says:
Feb 27, 2011 - Too bad he didn't at least get the chance to run. Thanks for posting :)
LakersSOCA Says:
Mar 8, 2011 - that is simply inaccurate.
ftsjr Says:
Mar 9, 2011 - I certainly didn't know his motives. But since he didn't live in NY at the time he was running, nor was he registered to vote in NY, I could only come to the conclusion that the NY senate seat was simply a target of opportunity.
brainstormer9 Says:
May 5, 2011 - the country would be better if the Kennedys survived.
univibe23 Says:
May 21, 2011 - RFK was such a visionary....but I got-a' say...he must have been scaring the ba-jeezus out of those poor kids! I mean we're all going to be wearing gas masks, and living underground?!! You just had to love the guy though! Unless you were a Mafia Boss, scumbag murdering Lyndon Johnson, or J. Edgar Hoover. They all HATED him more than than a festering 3 cm hemorrhoid!!
GOFLuvr Says:
Aug 3, 2011 - "Industry must do something..." And what industry has done since this ad, was relocate factories to developing nations with weaker environmental laws while the American government looked the other way.
GOFLuvr Says:
Aug 3, 2011 - What about Nixon? There were a lot of hippies still left in Nixon's days, and he was the first President since Franklin Roosevelt to advocate for universal health care.
redskins1111 Says:
Aug 25, 2011 - RFK was a jerk; JFK was alright because he was a conservative; RFK was a typical liberal communist
Sistarovat Says:
Sep 28, 2011 - This was in 1968 and he was saying that in ten years people might have to start wearing gas masks in NYC. I'm sure the regulations he wanted to enact never got enacted under the Nixon and Ford administrations and nobody had to wear gas masks in NYC past '78. In hindsight this is a perfect example of the scare tactics Democrats have been using for the past fifty-eighty years.
lawrence142002 Says:
Oct 3, 2011 - At the 1960 convention, Bobby got right up in Hubert Humphrey's face, poked him in the chest and said "We want your support, or else!" Humphrey stood his ground and poked Bobby right back and said "Bobby, go to hell!"
lawrence142002 Says:
Oct 3, 2011 - Harry Truman advocated for Universal Health Care as well.
GOFLuvr Says:
Oct 4, 2011 - I had no idea, but that would make sense, as Truman continued a lot of Roosevelt's policies. I need to research the great American healthcare debate some more... Not that I would have learned from a Republican that Nixon advocated for it! (Although I shockingly learned from a Democrat that the Democrats were opposed to it at the time, but did have a change of heart in retrospect.)
Boelcke1919 Says:
Oct 25, 2011 - When the CIA killed Bobby Kennedy, they killed the man who would have probably been our second Lincoln. That is a huge loss for the nation and hard to overcome.
paramedicEmergency51 Says:
Dec 4, 2011 - Pollution is worse now
digitalwasabi2 Says:
Jan 24, 2012 - Wow, talk about fearmongering. I think he out-Algored Algore!
jshalom65 Says:
Mar 9, 2012 - When this great man died a glorious destiny for America was cruelly thwarted
KennBurch Says:
Apr 11, 2012 - This was an ad for Bobby's presidential campaign...not the Senate race(which he was eligible for obviously, since no one challenged his victory in court). His motives in 1968 were to stop the war and end injustice and poverty. There are WORSE reasons to run for president, y'know.
VOICESINMYHEAD1 Says:
May 13, 2012 - Man! He should have been president!

therushfan22 Says:
Nov 11, 2010 - I would sure take these kids over the California voters today!BTW RFK's message was way off! well intentioned but way way off!
