Title: The Zombies - Maybe After He's Gone
Added: Feb 6, 2009
Author: LexMan89
Duration: 2:33
Description:
A song by the legendary 60's psychedelic pop group the Zombies, off of their one and only album, Odessey and Oracle. She told me she loved meWith words as soft as morning rainBut the light that fell upon meTurned to shadow when he came...Maybe after he's goneShe'll come back, love me againMaybe after he's goneShe'll come back, want me againI remember joy and painHer smile, her tears are part of meI feel I'll never breathe againI feel life's gone from me...Maybe after he's goneShe'll come back, love me againMaybe after he's goneShe'll come back, want me againAll the daysAnd all the nightsAre time just passing byAnd all the dreams I'm dreaming nowHide the tears that I cry...I feel so coldI'm on my ownAs the night folds in around meNight surrounds meI'm alone...Maybe after he's goneShe'll come back, love me againMaybe after he's goneShe'll come back, want me againMaybe after he's goneShe'll come back, love me againMaybe after he's goneShe'll come back, want me againMaybe after he's goneShe'll come back, love me againAfter he's goneShe'll come back, love me again

Jul 16, 2010 - an amazing song from an amazing album! not a lot of music today that comes close to the goodness of quality tunes like these. colin's singing, the harmonies, and the 12 string acoustic all make this a masterpiece

Jan 20, 2012 - This has the saddest lyrics I've ever heard... particularly at 1:10, but it still has that positive feeling The Zombies' songs always have =)

Mar 16, 2012 - Actually, the Zombies had around 16 albums if you count the compilations. This was their best though.

Apr 9, 2012 - This album is up there with Sgt Pepper. Unfortunately, it came out just as styles were changing. and it got overlooked. I have a cover posted of this track playing and singing all the parts. I welcome/invite all Zombie fans to check it out and leave comments.

May 21, 2012 - Odessey & Oracle was the Zombies 2nd album. Their first, released in 1965, was titled "Begin Here" in the UK, and simply "The Zombies" in the US. After a series of single and E.P releases, they recorded O&O in 1967 and released it in early 1968. It went unnoticed until 1969, when Time of the Season was released as a single, and went to #3 on the charts
