Feb 1, 2012 - I saw the Sacred Heart tour live in Dallas. That was 1985.....Vivian Campbell was on guitar. I caught the Dream Evil tour in 1988 with Craig Goldie. Both were incredible shows.

Feb 6, 2012 - I saw dio in i think it was 1984 or so on holy diver and last in line and was forturnately enuff to have had front row for both shows. The one that stands out the most was Holy Diver with vivian, Dokken opened up for them on Under Lock and Key......all i can say is Dio is prolly THE best singer live ive ever seen.....and Bruce Dickenson. PHENOMINAL show.....ill never forget it ever. RIP DIO

Mar 7, 2012 - That's the shit right there. Great guitarist for sure. Is it Goldy? This is an incredible sound when you consider it's a live recording. And of course Ronnie James Dio...well, no one can compare to that guy's voice. I hear that he was the nicest guy too, a gentle spirit with no ego. A guy who would be happy just to hang out with us regular folks. Lord how I miss him...sure would have liked to have met him before he departed.

Mar 10, 2012 - You are very right about Ronnie. He was from my hometown area in upstate New York. Played the high school dances there way back when before he made it big. He often came back to visit. Said hello to everyone, remembered all the names of people from the past. He had a gentle way and great sense of humor. The town renamed the street he grew up on Dio Way, but I still don't think people knew just how big a star he really was because he was never pretentious about his success.
Sweeper5 Says:
Mar 11, 2012 - Man, his voice just always amazed me. I remember the first time I heard him, it was when he was singing with Rainbow and I was like..."My God, who the F is that???" And he just got better and better from there. I envy you in that you knew him. I sure wish I could have met him, but now he's gone. Sure saddens me.

Mar 11, 2012 - Ofcourse, even rappers can hear that he got swagger, rythm, blues, rock and you name it, he got it!You are sorely missed across the entire world Ronnie, but you already knew that...

Mar 21, 2012 - I'm sooooooo glad that Dio put Craig Goldy on the map as a guitar player. I met him in Gainesville, FL, at a free show with Giuffria and King Kobra and knew from the first moment I saw him play that he was a very special kind of guitar player. Never did I imagine that he'd go on to replace Vivian in my favorite band but I am beyond thrilled that he got the gig and that I got to meet him before he was a God.
