Jun 18, 2011 - Some of these are used by physical therapists in Norway. Had surgery twice for a herniated disc, and on both knees for osteoarthritis, so I've had my share of PT.

Jul 1, 2011 - I'm so glad I found this video series. Your technique reminds me of my teacher's, Cynthia Hood. She doesn't have class in the summer, since we live in a remote desert area, and so I will watch these to remind me what's good for me and to improve my practice. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful knowledge and your work.

Jul 10, 2011 - I specialise in teaching Yoga for Back Pain and these are the exact same postures I would teach the chronic back pain sufferer. Nicely explained and put together.

Aug 1, 2011 - i was just starting the exercise and out of a sudden you had a belt in your hand :) i had to get up again to get me a belt. but that's okay, it was just a funny moment.

Oct 24, 2011 - I watched your Yoga for beginners videos and i really liked them. I am a ballet dancer and have suffered back pain for about two years now. I had to quit dance because it was such a strain on my back. However i do not like being unflexible and not dancing so i've been looking for a way to relieve my back pain so that i may dance again. This video really helped and i will continue to use it daily! Thank you so much!

Oct 29, 2011 - A well presented series of asanas that work: they DO reduce my pain. And rather than collecting this series from my yoga book shelf, it's much more inspiring & motivating to receive them from you.So hartelijk bedankt, Esther, for your generosity.

Nov 4, 2011 - Esther, I just wanted to thank you so much for posting this video. I've suffered from occasional minor back pain since my teen years and I find the yoga exercises in this video give me instant relief. Thank you again!

Nov 21, 2011 - Thank you so much for this video. I recently took a job where i have to stand for at least 8 hrs a day and after 2 months it has really taken a toll on my back. I'm only 26 and in great shape but I have been limping around like I'm 96. I tried different shoes and yoga routines with no relief. I found this video about 20 minutes ago and I already feel so much better. Thank you again!! I can't wait to try out some of your other routines.

Jan 6, 2012 - I found this because my lower back was all in knots. It already feels a bit looser. Thanks!

fede4real Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - I think this is too strong of an exercise.Ive been suffering back pain for some days, tried yoga and it got worse. My advice for everybodys a psei just found.Stand up,bend forward while placing your hands on your knees. Now straight your arms, lift your head and let your neck loose into your shoulders.Try to stay in that position as long as you can,you will see inmediate relief.I couldnt sleep for the whole night and this helps. Also sleep sideways

fede4real Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - in that posicion you can straighen you legs slowly or push your buttoks out and you can safely straight your lower back this way.Never had dthis kinda pain before, nothing like a back pain

fede4real Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - the exercise Ive described is more or less the resting position basketball players do when waiting for the rebound of a free throw shot.I've played for years, basketball puts alot ofss in thelower back and strenghens it.But thats what players do to rest in between the game and relieve tension all together

fede4real Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - its advisable to ahve something to hold on to close to you to help you stand back up since stand back up from that position may be hard if you already have low back pain wich I assume you have lol

fede4real Says:

Feb 4, 2012 - this I describe is meant to be a streching exercise not a strenght one.Perfect when you sit for many hours at the computer etc take a brake and rest in this position
