Duration: 7:43
Description:
[HD version of the other video]Hi everyone. We've been working very hard and we hope you like what we've made. This is just our 1 year report, after which we will probably go quiet again while we finish our work. This demo only shows what was ready at the time, we have a lot of really good stuff here but we are keeping it secret for now. (Yes grumpy forum people, we do have animation, but you'll just have to be patient.)It's been a busy year, and all is going very well; we only have 9 people working here, but will be hiring a few more soon. We also have another piece of technology that isn't graphics, but does something game related that's also pretty clever, but we'll keep that secret for now. We get a lot of fan mail from Germany and Brazil so I thought I'd put a link to the transcript of the video underneath just in case my accent is hard to understand. I'd like to thank you all for your emails and kind support.Kindest Regards, Bruce Robert Dell -- CEO Euclideon.http://www.euclideon.cominfo@euclideon.comTranscript in English and Italian: http://www.euclideon.com/transcripts.htmlI'd like to thank my best friend Addisyn Batchelor, for writing out the transcript of the video.I'd also like to thank Fabio Daniele for the Italian transcript, Edgar Büchner for creating the German subtitles and Edson Gomes, for subtitling the video into Portuguese, that was soooo nice of you, your kindness will not be forgotten, if there is ever anything i can do for you, just ask. Hi Brazil, (Wave, Wave !) thanks for all your emails. And I have a big ask, here but if any one wants to subtitle this into any other language please email us, that would be such a huge help.

MegaGamerTech Says:
May 26, 2012 - I've seen graphic designers combined Cry-Engine with Elder Scrolls (Crysis mixed with Skyrim) & the results looked amazingly realistic especially the plantation. Go Here: /watch?v=hgw9DlIK8DY

May 26, 2012 - i guess microsoft is not yet ready to kiss godbye to their Direct X market control.to develop this, you need to give to game developpers, graphic cards developpers and also askpush for a well new firmware upgrade of all graphic card currently in the market.to be able to use your engine as well as direct x and open gl.if your waitning for direct x to just fade away. your sadly mistaken. Microsoft is an agressive compagny. so you know what to do now.
monsterrun Says:
May 26, 2012 - also another way to agressively counter microsoft market domination.Go see Sony and nintendo. they will find a way to to use the technology and implement it on their console. That sure would piss off microsoft to see that nintendo and ps3 have far better game graphics then the the top notch pc games.
asomeman1223 Says:
May 26, 2012 - They showed a live demo in a interview and a game is currently in development using this.....i think someone is in denial
wrong1029 Says:
May 26, 2012 - Oh my god. You guys r going to be millionaires
hsbinh1412 Says:
May 26, 2012 - Well, since you didn't rebutt my point, then I will take it that you admit that you are in fact wrongCheers
PseudoCommune Says:
May 26, 2012 - Game companies can allocate their "polygon count" to make entire worlds, while you can only make a couple models with your "atom-like" technology. Then you tile your models a couple thousand times and claim you have a "realistic" world... and yet it looks like Minecraft. At 6:42 your ground is made of a few seamlessly tileable patterns. Your trees and cacti are clones. Don't diss polygons or mesh. The only thing your technology is good for is a Minecraft mod called "RecursiveCraft."

termi892 Says:
May 27, 2012 - My point is they are completely safe legally, both if they release some half-finished work, or a complete work.Like I already explained, a demo would prove us all wrong and we would shut up and be happy that we have a revolution in realtime 3d graphics. There's no excuse for not making one. A demo is a demo, if someone trolls that, she/hes a 10 year old and should be ignored anywayPS. Notch made millions on blocks. Regardless, I simply don't want to repost his points, thats why I mention him
ilakya Says:
May 27, 2012 - how can i know your sample video is realtime. there is no prove at all. what I see it is look just like hi poly duplicated and placed in pattern object with baked texture. running in video with antialiasing but smooth as without frame dropping.and you don't mention about animation. Game will need animation. How can you deform your non polygon object?any game developer will think DX11 tessellation method is smarter than this.
redbarron718 Says:
May 27, 2012 - i want skyrim in this.
bunnykiller1023 Says:
May 27, 2012 - So I played Minesweeper today
qasw1234 Says:
May 27, 2012 - wow,a game, id buy it just to see this
ThatOneMarxman Says:
May 27, 2012 - My question is: Will it support physics? For example, will running through the dirt actually kick up the grains, will the leaves part, or will it still just be tricks?
Xenosys Says:
May 27, 2012 - im not critisizing, i believe its absolutely true, i believe hes being modest when he says a factor of 100,000, im writing my own version of this system right now and it seems you can literally push the gemoetry bottleneck right past even ram to harddrive capacity. I agree he is not drawing voxels, but i guarantee the power of this system stems from storing the points in an octree.
Xenosys Says:
May 27, 2012 - actually technically hes right, this could be done with polygons if it was prerendered, thats how cgi is done.
Exilatron Says:
May 27, 2012 - so.. um that is good
ChrisRT6 Says:
May 27, 2012 - Looking through all these videos and reading the news entries on their website, it is incredibly clear that this man knows very little about how computers work, and certainly no idea how 3d rendering works. I have no doubt that this man is merely a pathological liar, and i would be careful to believe ANYTHING he says or posts.
NucliTerraN Says:
May 27, 2012 - Are you ratarde? Of course it can do animation. Watch the Bruce Dell Interview, he mentions animation there.
Helyzz82 Says:
May 27, 2012 - He would do good on Tell Sell...
zotlerg Says:
May 27, 2012 - It is frustrating we can't play it isn't it? It's a cut throat world full of gangs of hackers, and being legally safe means nothing in reality.Notch may not be the best person to arrogantly dismiss it. Making lots of money doesn't automatically make him a suitable naysayer or a graphics genius. Euclideon are saying it's a 'search engine' type of algorithm which makes it difficult to find any information on, which is clever in itself, because they are also a guarded secret - is that fishy?
LDGextra Says:
May 27, 2012 - cant wait until pacman

hombacom Says:
May 26, 2012 - You do. If you read what Euclideon said recently, they are NOT working in the game business. So quite succesful clip to get some attention, but its from 2011. Welcome to 2012.
