Apr 15, 2012 - I don't believe Hans Zimmer has the quality of being called a 'modern Beethoven'. There is a contrast between the two people, and not by country or language or time, but by the style of music they present to the world. They are two brilliant people who are an inspiration to their industry, but Hans Zimmer creates music for films, whereas Beethoven created masterpieces which I'm sure shall outlive Mr Zimmer's music.

Apr 19, 2012 - I still think Zimmer's work will still survive for next hundred years, or even become 'another' next-100-year 'classic'.The same when Beethoven was still composing and people were saying Thomas Tallis' were immortal - and probably we can say 'films' in those times were called 'opera', performance musical art. also, the line between 'film music' and 'instrumental music' is changed, some never watch the film but only listen to cd.Who knows the future?/ no offense, it's my personal opinion :D

Apr 20, 2012 - Even for the most difficult scenes, and there are difficult scenes in the film, and because Michael Haneke is such a great film-maker - I think a great film-maker is not only being inspired, but how to do it, how to make it as real as possible, knowing that it's not real.Isabelle Huppert

Apr 29, 2012 - you overthink it. we speak merely from the kind of music they make, not the purpose they serve. having said that, i do believe that beethoven's music will outlive his. however, he is very much the modern day version of beethoven.

May 6, 2012 - What made this move epic? .. It was not the story at the start, or the sad ending, but it was the moments in between. That's what made this movie and this fantastic tune

May 11, 2012 - It was not the start, or the end, that made this movie emotional and moving, it was the time in between, watching cruise of all people adjust and adapt to the way of the samurai was simply beautiful. What a film
