Jan 30, 2012 - Fawn, thanks for watching the video. This soup truly is awesome and I know you'll love it. To answer your questions, yes, I threw out all of the bones and the old veggies that I used to create the broth initially. Then I cut up new veggies a second time and added it back to the broth. I did not add any water the second time, although you could if you need to.

May 18, 2012 - why did u discard the first batch of vegetable ? Can u still eat them ?

foodwize Says:

May 18, 2012 - @johnzzzgreat - the first batch of veggies is typically discarded as they're nutritionally spent due to the long cooking time. The point of the first batch of veggies is to instill the broth with nutrients and flavor. If they're not discarded, they'll be all mushy and tasteless. You can still eat them if you like, but like I said they won't have much flavor, if any.

May 25, 2012 - This is the type of food you should be eating for healing purposes, so yes. It is very therapeutic for the digestive tract as is immunosupportive to say the least. If you want to lower cholesterol, I'd suggest that you eliminate processed and sugary foods from your diet.
