Apr 15, 2012 - @Mica I believe what a bot fly does when it burrows into the skin, is that it kills it, probably making so that it wouldn't hurt as much as if one were to have their surrounding skin still alive. I'm only assuming, it does happen in the later stage on a bot fly's life, and this seemed like a very early stage.

It needs to be suffocated by covering its rear airhole (the white spot) and then taken out. Obvioustly the maggot was too deep in and couldn't be reached. Y U NO GET FACTS RIGHT! 😜
