May 9, 2012 - The bible doesn't say that!. That is a man made church lie... if you study the bible in Greek you will find that the bible was not written to people today. It was written for the first century Jews in Israel, the ones that rejected Jesus were killed and sent to Gehenna (Hell) which simply meant death. The Roman armies destroyed Jerusalem in 70AD just like Jesus and the book of Revelation said they would. It was first century Israel and the Jews been judged not people today!

If you live your life without turning to Jesus when you die you will just die... and have no life after death in heaven with Jesus. It is that simple. Romans 12:3 "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you." Eph 2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. " I don't see how a choice (independent of God's ultimate Will) fits in there.

May 9, 2012 - I thought gehenna was the rubbish dump outside Jerusalem...anyway, most Christians don't teach that, they teach everlasting torment and I'm an atheist, so I don't really care what interpretations you can mix and match out of the bible. It doesn't change the atrocities in the old testament, like slavery, rape, genocide, cruelty, not to mention its obvious lack of real knowledge of world we live in (talking snake and donkey, man living in a giant fish/whale for 3 days).

Does God predestine the situation, people that talk to you, the words they say to cause you to have faith, or is it all your work, purely your choice, so that you may boast?

The Priesthood, the Temple,the sacrifices, the Religious rituals and holy days were all been abolished so people could have liberty in Christ to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Jesus was a revolutionary in a way, he upset the whole order of things. I myself believe in free will. there is nothing in scripture that says anyone today is predestined

May 9, 2012 - Yes you are right about Gehenna... the problem with the Church throughout history is they have gone away from the historical Jewish roots of the biblical account and added there own pagan idea's... so what the Church teach today is so far removed from what they should teach. You have to go back and study the hebrew and greek in its proper context. The awful and terrible truth is that hardly no Church in the world today except maybe a very few teach true Christianity.

May 16, 2012 - There's going to be a famine in western Africa just like in Somalia but if people donate money now before the famine strikes (It has already started) many more lives can be saved than if people donate after the disaster has happen.I think the chance of saving a child's life is eight times bigger if it gets proper nutrition before it started starving than afterwards.
