Apr 28, 2012 - the movie was a reflection about the westerners regard for other cultures, believing the other cultures are barbaric and poor.In contrast to their beliefs,the samurai were disciplined, pure and anything but barbaric.Though the Japanese are not looked at like this anymore,the same attitude is now shifted towards countries in the middle east.In other words westerns now think Arabs are barbaric and such,without knowing how the culture is.I believe the movie criticized lack of cultural relativism.
