You just can't sing everything the same way for it does not always work BEST. That's what made Diana/Rod's version so good because two distinctly opposite voices adapted to blend well together, which is part of being a good singer.

Feb 13, 2012 - Streisand is one of the greatest, but the duet showcases Sinatra's matchless talent. Firstly, his phrasing is genious. Secondly, he doesn't just sing the song, he breaths life into. It's no wonder he was an academy award winning actor, watch his expressions and gestures; he is singing to you alone! He becomes the song and the song becomes him. There are some great singers out there; Streisand included, but no one could ever beat Sinatra when he was at the top of his game. RIP, Mr. Chairman...
