Oct 3, 2011 - I notice you applied the varnish near the eye of the hook. Will that cover up the eyelet and make it difficult to thread a line through the hook?

Oct 24, 2011 - If you get super glue/varnish/head cement in the eye of the hook, just clear it (before it dries) using a dubbing needle, pin or scrap bit of fine wire. Some like to pass a fine hackle through the eye, which will soak up any excess varnish etc..
