May 8, 2012 - I disagree with the suggestion of using other fuels to light the copper compound, and strongly urge you to not use gasoline. Ethanol would be your best bet for getting pure colors and not toxing yourself. Make sure you do this in a well ventilated area as breathing the copper compound is hazardous to your health.

Always fun, but be sure to dispose of copper sulfate properly; it is toxic to the environment in its raw state and can corrode iron in a short period...
