Aug 19, 2010 - I think it's fun - which I assume is the spirit in which it was intended. It makes Madonna herself sound weak and pissy, which is also a good thing. Her songs always sound better with big guitars - the British rock band Skin did an amazing cover of Express Yourself -it really rocks out, and sounds far better than the original. So come on Madonna, strap one on! (a guitar, I mean)

Most of the criticism seems predicated on the idea that music can be replaced, that somehow tinkering with a song does some kind of damage to the original recording, and that music is something sacred which should remain untouched and perhaps be hung on a museum wall.
