May 12, 2012 - i like karate because it gives me calm in my being especially when performing the kata because of the simplicity in form and fluidity of movements. But i prefer Fil Martial Arts particularly PTK practicaly with use of equalizing weapons and reality of movements for actual scenarios

May 24, 2012 - Well, you will never learn karate ANYWHERE if that is your mindset. One of THE best Shotokan men I eve met was an American, Heavy set, 59 years old. He had been doing Shotokan for 40+ years at the time. His knowledge of body mechanics was amazing and he hit like a freight train. FAR better teacher than many Japanese I have encountered.
