Mar 25, 2012 - If you're doing this in CS5, you need to make sure that the text is converted into a shape. You can easily do this by unlocking the text layer, right clicking on the text on the stage, and pressing "break apart" TWICE (it's about 2/3 of the way down on the pop-up menu). This should solve you're the problem if you're only seeing the moving rectangle on the rendered SWF. Knowing how to break text apart is very useful in making most flash text effects.
