Feb 6, 2012 - Don't read this book. I'm an English major and I'm used to reading, and enjoy, deeply introspective, gut wrenching stories about the human condition. This book desperately wants to be one of those books, but it's not. I listened to this recommendation and really, reeeeally, wanted to love it. Many of you may very well end up enjoying it, but I felt it necessary to offer a counter opinion to this book in the hopes of saving at least a few people the boredom that is Richard Ford's writing.
