Based on the novel by UNWIND by Neal Shusterman. We were recommended the book Unwind. I read it straight through and found it to be very thought provoking and well written. We wanted to do a video for it for awhile, but couldn't figure out which scene. We were sent a short script by Tansy Gardam and thought it was great. Based on the groundbreaking novel by Neal Shusterman, Unwind takes place in the near distant future- The Heartland War is fought over abortion rights. The two sides of war battle, finally coming to a consensus- the Bill of Life. The Bill of Life states that a child cannot be touched up to the age of 13, but from then to 17, the child can be unwinded. Their body parts would be distributed to others, but not technically being killed. Connor, Lisa, and Levi are three kids trying to escape the unwinding. Together, they not only try to escape, but realize they need to show the world that what they're doing disrupts moral boundaries and is corrupting the human race as they know it.
