Here is my trip report of a trip I did in business class in 2011. I was able to upgrade to business class with my miles. It was a nice trip! I was able to confirm my upgrade if I transferred through Chicago, but could not confirm it if I flew nonstop to London. Thus, I connected through Chicago. I hope you enjoy the TR!

Heavy Takeoff out of Chicago O'hare. Boeing 747-400. Flight from Chicago O'hare to Tokyo Narita. I got lucky and got a free upgrade to Buisness class on the Upper deck. Seat 15K to be exact. Channel 9 is included. Takeoff out of runway 32L, full length. You know your heavy when you need full length out of runway 32L at Chicago. Great flight with United. It was a bumpy departure and holding the camera was kinda hard because the space between the seat and the window is big so I had to stretch my hand out and it was hard to keep the camera still. Thats part of the reason I made this video so long just because the ATC is awesome. Side note: Filmed over a year ago! So thats why I my hand was a little bit shaky. United Airlines Flight 232 was a scheduled flight from Stapleton International Airport in Denver, Colorado, to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, with continuing service to Philadelphia International Airport. On July 19, 1989, the DC-10 (Registration N1819U) operating the route crash-landed in Sioux City, Iowa, after suffering catastrophic failure of its tail-mounted engine, which led to the loss of all flight controls. 111 people died in the accident while 185 survived.[note 1] Despite the deaths, the accident is considered a prime example of successful crew resource management due to the manner in which the flight crew handled the emergency, and the high number of survivors considering that the airplane was landed without conventional control. The flight crew became well known as a result of their actions that day, in particular the captain, Alfred C. Haynes, and a DC-10 instructor on board who offered his assistance, Dennis E. Fitch.

United Airlines Emergency Landing in Boston (ATC Conversations)
On April 23rd, 2012, a United Airlines Airbus A320 operating flight 224 from Chicago to Boston was on approach to runway 22L at Logan airport when most of its navigation systems failed, followed by a loss of pressurization. The pilots declared emergency and looked for alternate airports: with none nearby with visual meteorological conditions, and with some systems back in working order, the pilots followed the ILS glideslope and then landed visually. July 19th 1989 will forever be written into the history books of memorable flights. For 44 minutes check airman Dennis E. Fitch managed to navigate and land a McDonnell Douglas 10-10 aircraft with zero hydraulic pressure. In a terrible strike of bad luck, the triple redundant hydraulic system was punctured by debris originating from a fractured fan disk in engine #2. The actual events of that flight are featured in this showcase from Serpent 3D. Realistic visualization: An animation or illustration from Serpent 3D is always made applying correct scale and precise measurements. If the scene includes an aircraft flying 37.000 feet in the air, it will be simulated accurately: In the speed that you request, naturally blending in with the landscape below. Although animation from Serpent 3D is unsuitable for scientific purposes, it can function as an accurate visual presentation of your project. United Airlines flight 232 is the latest showcase from Serpent 3D and a great example of how mechanical parts can be animated with a high level of accuracy.

Flight Simulator FSX United Airlines DC-10-10 landing Reagan Washington National Airport
This flight simulator (FSX) video depicts the only known landing (diversion) of a DC-10 aircraft (UAL flight 100) at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). It was in April 1998 and the aircraft diverted to DCA (due to low fuel) having been unable to land at BWI (its original destination) or Dulles (alternate destination) due to thunderstorms. Little documentation exists about this event. I have depicted the a/c as a DC-10-10 in the UAL stealth scheme, but at the time they still had at least one DC-10-10 (N1831U) in white with orange/red/blue stripes. Or it's possible it could have been a DC-10-30--but flight 100 was usually a -10. The landing was reported to have been to the south (runway 19). Any additional info about this event is welcomed. UAL DC-10-10s were powered by GE CF6-6D, which did not have the whistling, whining, howl sound of the CF-6-50s used on DC-10-30s. Airliner Sights and Sounds

In 1974, Saul Bass designed one of the most iconic logos in aviation history, The United Airlines Sweep. Saul Bass' Sweep,(or "Tulip") was a testament to United courage and class and was timeless as it was elegant. Worldwide recognized, it propelled United through the best and worst of times. Sadly, and most unfortunately, the logo was discarded in 2010 as a result of the merger between Continental Airlines and United. But the Sweep did not go down without a fight! Thousands of people protested, and even after the final decision was made, still continue to protest its removal till this very day. This is to remember the great memories of a great airline and its brand that carried us to far away places. -Long Live the Sweep, Long Live United.

a Skywest Canadair CRj-700,performing United express 5394, regn N726SK, Los Angeles to Dallas,with 62 passengers and 4 crew,aircraft continued to Dallas and landed,on runway 13R.. A note was left on a mirror there was abomb onboard. The FBI interviwed the pasengers,no bomb was found. A replacement aircraft conveyed the passengers onwards ,on the return flight back to LA.

The plane was hijacked by four terrorirsts. This was the fourth plane hijacked on September 11, 2001. United Airlines flight 93 departed New York-Newark for San Francisco at 08:47. The aircraft was hijacked by four terrorists. The hijackers took over control, reportedly switched off the transponder and changed course to, probably, Washington. At 09:35, near Cleveland, the aircraft changed course to the South and later (09:45) Southwest at FL350. At 10:03 the aircraft crashed out of control in a field near Somerset, PA. The hijackers possibly had the intention to crash the plane into Air Force One, Camp David or perhaps Washington. The aircraft crashed following passengers attempt to take down the hijackers. This is footage of a United Airlines Boeing 777-200ER (New Colors!) International taxiing, holding, departing, and climbing out of Washington Dulles. The flight was UAL 897 in route to Beijing Capital International. First Class all the way! Listen to that Amazing Engine sound! Look at the ANA Boeing 777 at 1:57 heading out to Tokyo. Then watch as we depart and, turn right headed over Canada. We flew over Northern Alaska and, then south over Siberia into Beijing. Flight time was just over 14 hours. Seat was 3A. You may here a little bit of radio chatter in the background. I had channel 9 on and had my headphones up against my cameras mic, but it's very difficult to understand what they are saying due to the volume of channel 9. WATCH IN 1080p!
