Matt Uelmen - Tristram
Matt Uelmen (born January 1, 1973) is an American video game music composer and sound designer. He is best known for his work in Blizzard Entertainment's Diablo series, which was recognized with the inaugural Excellence in Audio award by the IGDA in 2001. He also worked as a sound designer for the real-time strategy game StarCraft, and worked on the massively multiplayer game World of Warcraft's expansion World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade in 2007. This game was his last before his departure from Blizzard Entertainment. Matt Uelmen is now listed as a member of the Runic Games team, working on Torchlight.

Outtake from Blizzard's Diablo II. "Outtake I" - Liner Notes - November 29, 2000 "Hurry up or you'll miss the train! This track is part of a good ten minutes of "Look-at-my-pretty-guitars" garbage that was mercifully tossed before release. Despite a disgustingly cute midgets-in-liederhosen quality, it is given some dignity by the oboe stylings of Roger Wiesmeyer. Like the Monastery intro which eventually became the second part of our Diablo II title screen, this is a good example of how NOT to pace game action music. You may notice an instrument which makes it nowhere else into this little game -- the classical guitar. Even though I have probably fallen asleep to the sound of Segovia more than any other recording artist, I was never able to reconcile the Spanish sound of this instrument with the feel of the game. There is something inescabably warm and seductive about the sound of nylon which just did not fit with the feel that the steel strings established in the original game. The flamenco riffs I tried to insert always seemed a bit forced. Some people around the office liked this track, despite the fact that those open mandolin chords now make me wince." - Matt Uelmen Anyways, enjoy!

Matt Uelmen - Tristram Theme, from Diablo I don't have the tabs! I mixed a tab I found on 911tabs with something I found to be the closest to the original song. The delay effects really make the mood for this song! This song made me start playing guitar and later electric guitar and still I haven't mastered it! I've posted this video mainly because of the delay effects that imo gave a "diabloish" mood to the song. Anyway there are a few mistakes here and there that may suck but who's perfect nowdays?
