Tyson 2009 - Documentary [Full length]
(2009) "Tyson" is acclaimed indie director James Toback's stylistically inventive portrait of a mesmerizing Mike Tyson. Toback allows Tyson to reveal himself without inhibition and with eloquence and a pervasive vulnerability. Through a mixture of original interviews and archival footage and photographs, a startlingly complex, fully-rounded human being emerges. The film ranges from Tyson's earliest memories of growing up on the mean streets of Brooklyn through his entry into the world of boxing, to his rollercoaster ride in the funhouse of worldwide fame and fortunes won and lost. It is the story of a legendary and uniquely controversial international athletic icon, a figure conjuring radical questions of race and class. In its depiction of a man rising from the most debased circumstances to unlimited heights, destroyed by his own hubris, "Tyson" emerges as a modern day version of classic Greek tragedy.

Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson on same talk show - P1 (rare)
Part 1 of 2. Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Sugar Ray Leonard. Arsenio Hall Show 1989. I think it's the only time Ali and Tyson have met on a talk show like that. It's interesting to see Ali's reaction to Tyson, I think he has alot of respectable fear for Tyson even on stage. Of course the interviewer asks Ali the ultimate qustion - who would win between them?! (sorry sound quality is poor) Update: Have added subtitles as best I could, as difficult to understand because of poor audio. Any mistakes by myself, please inform. (Subtitles can be turned on by the bottom rightmost button in the youtube player. )

Mike Tyson is Better Than Ever
After hitting one of the lowest lows of his life with the death of his daughter and substance abuse, Mike Tyson made an incredible recovery -- and shared his story with Ellen.
Mike Tyson Highlights
Some of the best moments from one of the most explosive, ferocious and fearsome fighters within heavyweight boxing history. Tyson was the youngest heavyweight ever to win the title. He is without doubt ranked within the top ten greatest heavyweights of all time and I'm sure would have held his own even in the days of Ali, Marciano, Louis and Dempsey!
Authors@Google: Neil deGrasse Tyson
The Authors@Google program welcomed Neil deGrasse Tyson to Google's New York office to discuss his book, "The Pluto Files". About the Book: "The New York Times best-selling author chronicles America's irrational love affair with Pluto, man's best celestial friend. In August 2006, the International Astronomical Union voted Pluto out of planethood. Far from the sun, tiny, and eccentric in orbit, it's a wonder Pluto has any fans. Yet during the mounting debate over Pluto's status, Americans rallied behind the extraterrestrial underdog. The year of Pluto's discovery, Disney created an irresistible pup by the same name, and, as one NASA scientist put it, Pluto was "discovered by an American for America." Pluto is entrenched in our cultural, patriotic view of the cosmos, and Neil deGrasse Tyson is on a quest to discover why. Only Tyson can tell this story: he was involved in the first exhibits to demote Pluto, and, consequently, Pluto lovers have freely shared their opinions with him, including endless hate mail from third graders. In his typically witty way, Tyson explores the history of planet classification and America's obsession with the "planet" that's recently been judged a dwarf." This event took place on February 9, 2009.

You might also want to read a book by Shawn Lawrence Otto titled, "Fool Me Twice Fighting the Assault on Science in America." His web site is www.shawnotto.com. Mr. Otto writes that less than 2% of Congress has a science background, and the overwhelming majority are lawyers trained to argue their client's position, not for the truth. Posting a complaint on YouTube doesn't solve the problem. Everyone needs to become involved. Demand that your representatives in Congress support science and properly fund NASA, otherwise you won't vote for them. That's the only way you'll get their attention. You might also want to watch Dr. Tyson's address to the National Space Symposium on April 17.
