This is a video I made to give to sponsors for a national championship trials event my club is hosting in July 2010 at Donner Ski Ranch in Truckee, CA. It's meant to showcase some things that can be done on a trials bike with the best riders to people who might not know much about the sport. This is not the final version, just a nearly complete version to get opinions from other members of Sacramento PITS and those involved with the event organization. Trials HD - The Riddle Revealed
Two and a half years ago, Trials HD was released for Xbox LIVE Arcade. Little noticed at first were various strange clues, hidden in deep parts of the game. Seemingly related to science, history, and unexplained mysteries, the brief clues hinted at a larger riddle buried within the game. Over the last two years, the Trials Community has debated, speculated, and argued over each bit of evidence. What follows is a very special video created by FatShady, a dedicated member of Trials community and one of the many who contributed to the riddle's solution. Rather than put the solution into our own words, this video will set up the riddle and reveal each clue and how it fits into the riddle. Regarding the riddle, RedLynx's Creative Director Antti Ilvessuo had this to say: "You could say I created the riddle, but what I really did was set the rules out. The game was played by the players, the riddle was discovered by them. I just started it. That was one really the key here." He then walked Fatshady through the riddle a few months ago, after which FatShady started the long process of creating this awesome video. The answer and riddle were thought out like three years ago. Now here is the official answer. SBTRKT - Trials of the Past
The debut album from SBTRKT on Young Turks is here, and it's a strong set, managing to infuse the sounds of London's dance underground with a poppier essence. It's a vocal-heavy affair, with mic duties largely handled by formidable night bus crooner Sampha, while the rhythms are rooted in swinging, post-dubstep house, albeit with nods to various staging-posts in British soundystem culture - the masked producer's affection for both ragga-jungle and El-B style dark garage comes to the fore in the romping sub-bass of 'Right Thing To Do', while the excellent, almost gospel-flavoured 'Sanctuary' teams shuffling broken beat with saw-toothed electro. The undisputed highlight of the LP is 'Pharaohs' a spry, sassy bit of house that's just custom-made for deployment in rush hour traffic this summer, but previous single 'Living Like I Do', with its Reese bass mannerisms and vocals from Sampha at his imploring/deploring best, gives it a run for its money.
