This is my video entry for The Hunter in-game Video Competition. In game name Artemis. I did a Turkey video cause I think they can be a bit hard to hunt, they can be fun to hunt too, but they are my least favorite to hunt cause they can be trouble lol. Turkey have a good eye sight, they can spot you a mile away if you arnt careful which makes it a bit hard to close to them, then you have to start all over again. If you try to lure them in with the turkey call while you are surounded by tall grass, this can be a problem as well because you wont be able to spot the turkey before it has spotted you. And they usually can be found in flocks, one sees you and they all take off! Once I find an area with Turkey I will look for a small area with little or no grass, at the very least not surrounded by tall grass. Once I find an open spot I will hide in the grass and try to lure the turkey to come on the opposite side of me for a good clear shot. :D Most of the time I can find a good spot, but sometimes they come up on me too quick and I don't see them until it's almost too late..... which they usually then all fly off. :-/ Video was made from the game The Hunter. www.thehunter.com Its free, so sign up and when you do look me up and add me to your friends list, my alias in The Hunter is Artemis.

"Live From The Hammock" #3 ... Yackin', Trackin' & Smackin'

Pulled the home-made pulk or sled out for a test off-trail in the swamps of Roseville, Minnesota behind my home. Just a cheap sled with para-cord and 1/2 inch PVC and a couple of beeners. Works well and gets that load off my back. Threw in the Warbonnet BlackBird Hammock www.warbonnetoutdoors.net, my J. Falk Bushwacker Compact Wood Stove http some cocoa of coarse and Shepards Pie that I made for the family that morning. Did a "Gear Gab" installment on the benefits of YakTrax www.yaktrax.com for winter walking ease when the snow is low or packed down. Also..... made up songs and acted like an over-grown doof along the way. Lessons learned here as well .... had a stove tip over in the snow.... my fault but the remedy is to make a platform with sticks underneath. To fail is the best way to learn and remember ..... No problem there...... I thankee for watching!

Michigan Single Track Dirt Bike Ride

Finally got out and did some riding. My bike blew a main bearing and was running like crap for 2 days. Finally I couldn't take it any more and pulled the flywheel cover. The flywheel had 0.100" of radial play, was hitting the stator, but somehow the seal didn't leak a drop. The New ContourHD cam is great, now if I can get my bike to run, my brother to be available, his bike to run and not have any camera issues i might be able to start posting good videos again. If you listen carefully you can here it misfiring and the bearing rattling like a hand full of marbles in my engine. Yes, I'm rebuilding the crank (rod, pin, bearing and thrust washers), replacing the mains, seals, piston, rings, wist-pin and wist-pin bearing. $350 worth of parts, but I should have it back together by next week.
