They are a live band not to be missed, having recently been described by HotPress magazine as 'one of the best live acts in the country'. With the addition of violin, clarinet and lap steel, among other instruments, to their set, TKO's sound is both distinctive and original within Dublin's indie rock scene. Using up to eight different instruments along with four-part harmonies, audience interaction and a few surprises along the way, TKO's live shows have become energetic and sought-after affairs in packed-out venues across the country. 2006 has been particularly good to TKO, starting with a successful support slot to the Frames at Vicar St. before the band took off to tour Italy in April. Coming back home, the summer swiftly became a hectic and wonderful experience with the release of the Let's Go single, which entered the charts at no.42 and kicked off a fifteen-date tour of Ireland, taking in such venues as Dundalk's Spirit Store, An Crúiscín Lán, Cork, the Bowery, Waterford and a triumphant homecoming gig in Dublin's The Village. Having already sold out Whelan's twice in a year, the tour became a new challenge which was a fantastic experience for all involved. TKO KILL THE PAIN.
TKO was a hard rock/heavy metal band from Seattle, Washington. The group's leader and only consistent member was singer Brad Sinsel. TKO lasted from approximately 1977-2001. Brad Sinsel came to Seattle from his hometown, Yakima, Washington in the early 70's. He joined a local group called Mojo Hand. As other members of the group moved on Brad replaced them with musician friends he knew back home from his high school days. Eventually all of the members of Mojo Hand were replaced. Among these members was Rick Pierce, who later joined Q5 and found major success in Europe, especially Germany. Line-up changes continued. Eventually the group settled on a stable line-up and came to the attention of managers who also represented Heart. This soon led to a major label recording contract. The group released their first album Let It Roll on the Infinity Records division of MCA in 1979 (INF-9005). During this time the group had basically a Glam rock sound and image. They toured the US extensively and sold roughly 150000 copies of the first album. TKO planned to record a second album when Infinity was absorbed by MCA in the spring of 1980. The second Infinity album was never recorded.

Super VS Battle (SVB) 2011: Part 2 of 2 - We Are TKO
Part two of 2011's Super VS Battle (SVB) event that took place in August. The event was organised and run by the Neo Empire. **Too ensure you get the maximum enjoyment from this video first, pause the video... Select 720p from the 'Change quality' section... Then press play** Some of you may have wondered why this video took so long to be released? Well... 1) During the shooting of this video, both the memory card and camera became faulty forcing us to buy another camera and memory card. (A special thank you to Street Starz for lending us a second camera to ensure that we'd be able to capture the SVB Grand Final footage) 2) A hard drive broke that had some of the hotel session footage on it 3) We Are TKO purchased new hardware & software to create/edit videos 4) The old software we used to edit SVB part 2 didn't want to work, meaning we couldn't get the SVB part 2 video footage off the old software to transfer to the new software to finish the video. This alone took 2 months to rectify! So there you have it... Those were all the things that held up or stopped this video from coming out. We honestly thought to ourselves "Should we even bother with this second part of SVB?" But people kept on asking about it so we thought "we've got to try and fix these problems and finish this." A big thank you to everybody that asked about and waited for this video. We hope you enjoy it!
