It now seems that our entire universe is living on borrowed time. How long it can survive depends on whether Stephen Hawking's theory checks out. Special thanks to Ivan Bridgewater for use of footage. Time is flying by on this busy, crowded planet... as life changes and evolves from second to second. And yet the arc of human lifespan is getting longer: 65 years is the global average ... way up from just 20 in the Stone Age. Modern science, however, provides a humbling perspective. Our lives... indeed the life span of the human species... is just a blip compared to the age of the universe, at 13.7 billion years and counting. It now seems that our entire universe is living on borrowed time... And that even it may be just a blip within the grand sweep of deep time. Scholars debate whether time is a property of the universe... or a human invention. What's certain is that we use the ticking of all kinds of clocks... from the decay of radioactive elements to the oscillation of light beams... to chart and measure a changing universe... to understand how it works and what drives it. Our own major reference for the passage of time is the 24-hour day... the time it takes the Earth to rotate once. Well, it's actually 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.1 seconds... approximately... if you're judging by the stars, not the sun. Prince - Sign ☮ The Times
The main title track to begin off the whole album, the song was constructed by Prince almost entirely on the Fairlight sampling synthesizer, which provides the primary keyboard riff and sampled electronic bass sounds heard on the track. Unlike some artists, Prince did not program new sounds for this song. He simply used the stock sounds the Fairlight offered, including the famed "orchestra hit" towards the end of the composition. The single marked a shift from those pulled from the Parade and Around the World in a Day albums, with a spare, electronic-based arrangement, simple drum machine hits and minimal stacked synth patterns, as well as a bluesy, funk-rock guitar part (cut from the single edit of the song). check out my site: www.ThePortraitArt.com practice vid link www.youtube.com definitely one of my most difficult project, the idea was just too interesting to not give it a try -------------------------------------------------- the approach It is next to impossible to focus on two things simultaneously, it is however, possible to always keep both hands moving... I make sure one hand knows how and where to move for the next few strokes while I focus on the other hand, Basically rapidly switching attention between the two. Most times when one of my hand is about to draw something difficult like a specific curve, i would move my other hand to draw something simple like filling an area with shade that needs repetitive strokes. This way I manage to keep both hands moving while alternating focusing on each hand in rapid succession. (for example when i was drawing Morgan freeman's mouth with my left, i move my right hand to draw the Tim's hair since it requires much less attention and accuracy, in fact for most the video when one hand is doing something defining the other is doing shading ) This approach allow me to finish two portraits in way less time than the time I would spent drawing two consecutive portraits with my dominant hand... the process is very tiring, after a hour of constantly switching attention I do feel a little crazy.. ---------------------------------------------------- Music: "Twilight Techno"by Dimrain47 dimrain47.newgrounds.com ...

This tool-assisted speedrun aims to complete The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in as little time as possible, while getting every Spiritual Stone and Medallion, and completing every Trial in Ganon's Castle. The author does this by exploiting many tricks and glitches, which would not be seen in a modern any% run. This run was made on an emulator, with slowdown, frame-by-frame shooting, savestates and rerecords. It is NOT meant to show skill, but rather the game pushed to its limits. It is only supposed to provide entertainment. You must bear this in mind when watching this video, or any TAS, for that matter. A lot of effort was put into this run. It is the result of many long months of tedious testing and optimal playing, but it has certainly payed off. When commenting, consider the amount of effort and time it would take to make a run like this. It's not worthless because it wasn't done on a console. Tool-assisted speedruns are arguably more difficult to do well than real speedruns, due to how difficult it is to achieve perfection and still make it look entertaining.
