Matt explains that one of the perks of cordwood construction is that once the thermal mass is heated, it will hold the heat for a day. The biggest downside for cordwood is that as the wood dries, it shrinks. So gaps tend to form between the wood and the mortar - thus allowing wind to pass through the structure in hundreds of gaps. Or the wood cracks and provides a differend kind of gap. The solution is to use only thoroughly dried cordwood. This structure shows the benefit of using using thoroughly dried cordwood. My coats are white, then alternating red and silver stripes, then black over top. Steps: 1. First, take the trucks and wheels off. Put tape around the edge of the board so that it protects the griptape from the paint and other substances. Then, you want to sand your deck. Do as much as you feel is needed, whether it be a little to take off the top of the previous coat or a lot to take it down to the bare wood. 2. Next, you wanna put down a base coat of the color you want on the very bottom layer. Let it dry THOROUGHLY. I chose to use white because it fit into my design. Some people put a coat of primer on first, but I don't think it's really necessary. 3. After that, you should decide on a basic design for your skateboard. Don't freak out about it though, a generic plan followed by winging it generally produces a great design. Pick out the colors of spray paint you need and keep them close at hand. 4. Now it's time to start the design. Depending on your plan, this part will vary. On this deck, I chose to do a "splatter" pattern I found the technique for on another video. He does several magic tricks with Jerry, producing him in a box of chocolates and Toots' bow, and finally tucking Jerry behind him. While trapped there, Jerry grabs a hat and uses the hat pin to even the score a bit. He runs away to a record changer, and gets Tom caught up in the machinery. With Tom thoroughly defeated (and the machine thoroughly broken), Jerry primps a bit himself, kisses Toots, and sashays into his hole.

How to make a 100 ft glow stick. Brighter than Electroluminescent wire and self-powered. This can be used to decorate, glow stuff up, or create all kinds of awesome effects. Warning: TCPO is carcinogenic and you should wear gloves and masks while working with it. The procedure is simple, mix together 500mg of 9,10-bis(phenylethynyl)anthracene and 17g of TCPO in 500mL of diethyl phthalate solvent and heat it up until it dissolves. Then top it up to about 2.1 liters and add 120mL of hydrogen peroxide and 10g of sodium acetate. Shake thoroughly and draw into a 100 ft glow stick with an inner diameter of 3/8". Suction by a vacuum pump is recommended. To prevent spilling the ends should be capped with brass or plastic compression fittings. Leave 5+ feet of space in the tube to allow for expansion of the chemicals depending on temperature. Glow stick will last for about 6 hours. Use more TCPO if a longer glow is needed. Possibly the world's biggest glow stick.
