It's about acceptance, adjusting expectations, & focusing on the "can do's" in life which allows for a celebration of amazing outcomes. Ricochet is an internationally renowned champion surf dog at the center of media attention, who has become an inspirational phenomenon, motivational role model, internet sensation, fundraising marvel, goodwill ambassador, and muse to millions! This video depicts her journey from birth to 15 months of age, as she goes through her service dog training, which is cut short due to her propensity to chase birds. Her role changed to SURFice dog & she started to fundraise for quadriplegic surfer, Patrick Ivison, who she met the night before this video was filmed. The intention was for the two of them to surf a wave together on their own surfboards. At one point, when they surfed into shore, Ricochet jumped off her board, and onto Patrick's. It was her decision to surf tandem with him! Once the video went viral, she turned it into a platform to help more people/animals & she's raised over $53000 in the last year. She promotes kindness, charity, philanthropy, and social responsibility, such as her video about anti-bullying "You're amazing just the way you are!" Tired-looking parents struggle with the stresses of having sick children. Families navigate with wheelchairs and strollers past doctors, nurses and staffers who head to appointments and hospital rooms. But something special happens when Abby enters the building. The mood lightens. People stop and smile. Conversations begin. Abby Golden Doodle, a therapy dog, looks like she's smiling back at everyone who smiles at her. In this "Tell Me a Story," Greg Park talks about his dog Abby.

Ruby the Best Pitbull Service Dog
Pitbulls always seem to get a bad rap, which Ruby doesn't deserve. She shines a great light on her breed! Just a clarification on RUBY THE SERVICE AND THERAPY DOG. She is BOTH. In November 2005 she received her TDI therapy dog certification. As the medical needs of her owner changed, Ruby went back to school and was trained thru www.puppyloveinc.org (service dogs). In February of 2009, she then received her credentials as a SERVICE DOG with proper id. Hope this clears up any confusion. Sadly, Ruby is now fighting Cancer. So to clarify, Ruby is DEFINITELY a SERVICE dog and does go into stores, ect.

Connie is a co-founder of Huntsville's Therapy Partners, Inc., and also serves on the board of the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, which generates many activities for Connie and Katie. They participate in the local Alzheimer's walk, the annual Christmas parade, and in Therapy Partners' speakers bureau, making presentations in schools about the work of therapy dogs. Meet Dolce, The FBI's First Therapy Dog
This blue-eyed barker and his handler, Victim Specialist Rachel Pierce, pioneered the Federal Bureau of Investigation's K9-Assisted Victim Assistance Program. See related story at: www.fbi.gov Dolce, do you love me? Ask him, do you love me? Do you love me? Meet Dolce, the therapy dog. Do you love me? This blue-eyed barker and his handler, Victim Specialist Rachel Pierce, pioneered the Federal Bureau of Investigation's K9-Assisted Victim Assistance Program. Before Dolce began helping victims as a therapy dog, he assisted Rachel as a service dog. Rachel's rheumatoid arthritis can sometimes make it too painful to do daily chores. Some of the things he learned as a service dog—he would turn lights on and off, he could jump up and do the switches, he did my laundry. Although Rachel had originally adopted Dolce as a service dog, Dolce had other plans. Rachel realized that Dolce had too much love to give to keep him for herself—so she began to cross-train him as a therapy dog. He is a good service dog, but he is an amazing therapy dog. He just loves people. Rachel spent years training Dolce to the highest military and civilian standards under the supervision of an organization called Pet Partners. In order to earn his certification to become a therapy dog, Dolce had to pass a rigorous test. And he passed it on the first try. I definitely would say he's a very well trained dog. Eventually, Rachel began to work with Dolce in the Human Animal Bond Program at the Department of ...

Living with a Service Dog: Dealing With All the Questions- by Heather & Rowena
It is really hard to be invisible when you need the assistance of a service dog while in public places. People stare, make comments under their breath and judge whether or not you truly are disabled enough to utilize an assistance dog. Then there are the barage of questions that people may ask as well. I now for me sometimes I want to just run my errands without all the extras, but my dog makes my invisible disability very visible. Eventually people who use service dogs will need to learn how to deal with the public face to face. We need to learn to educate the public and sometimes we need to bite our tongue and move on. Xtranormal has begin charging for everything so I unfortunately won't be able to create another cartoon like this. It's a shame. It was fun.
