After lead singer Elliot Lurie left Looking Glass in 1974, the three remaining members (keyboardist Larry Gonsky, bassist Pieter Sweval and drummer Jeff Grob, who adopted the stage name Joe X. Dube) teamed up with Michael Lee Smith (vocals) and guitarist Brendan Harkin to continue the band and soon changed their name to Fallen Angels. In September 1975 they were joined by former Stories guitarist Richie Ranno. After keyboardist Gonsky was dropped from the group, they changed their moniker once again (to Starz) and pursued a more heavy metal direction. Although "Texas Flood" has three verses of lyrics, the song is more of a prolonged guitar solo, allowing Vaughan to show off his characteristic electric blues style. During live shows, he would often play portions of this song behind his back, arousing an enthusiastic crowd response. Originally a follow-up to 'Pinfall A Professional Wrestling Documentary', this was meant to be broadcast on British television as an insight into my wrestling career. When I arrived in Texas, everything went wrong... you'll see why. Because of the disaster that is this documentary, the broadcaster soon pulled the plug and I was left with hours of footage that they didn't ask for. This documentary is a complete mess, but I tried to make the best of a bad situation. I hope you don't hate it as much as I do. I should also apologise to the wrestling fans who are inevitably hate me for not managing to pull off a second wrestling documentary. My bad.

People typically chuckle when they hear the Texas Chain Saw Massacre house is now a restaurant, and with good reason: The site of one of the most grotesque, unnerving dinner scenes in horror-movie history now serves up (non-human) meat in a dining room that's homey, not horrifying. Well, not everyone chuckles: As owner Jeremy Lee explains in this episode of Pop Pilgrims, he receives the occasional e-mail from people who think the house was the site of actual murders. Those people are mistaken, but not necessarily crazy; the text underneath the title on the original movie poster certainly hinted at reality—"What happened is true. Now the motion picture that's just as real"—and elements of Leatherface's character were inspired by real-life serial killer Ed Gein. At the top of texaschainsawmassacre.net—the comprehensive fan site run by Pop Pilgrims guest Tim Harden—there's a giant link at the top of the home page saying "DID THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE REALLY HAPPEN? Click HERE to find out!" The link leads to a page with a long explanation best summarized by the word "No." Regardless, it's a little silly to believe The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was real. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
In 1939, a worker has an abortion while working in a slaughterhouse and dies. The deformed baby is dumped in a garbage container and found by a beggar who brings him home. Along the years, the freak creature called Thomas is raised by the Hewitt family, working at a meat plant. In 1969, when the facility gets close down, deformed insane Thomas kills the foreman. His deranged stepfather executes the sheriff that is going to arrest Thomas, and assumes his identity and entitling himself as Sheriff Hoyt. Meanwhile, the brothers Eric (Matthew Bomer - "Flightplan") and Dean (Taylor Handley - "Zerophilia") are traveling in a Jeep with their girlfriends Christie (Jordana Brewster - "The Fast and the Furious") and Bailey (Diora Baird - "Wedding Crashers"). When the group has a car accident, Hoyt arrests Eric, Dean and Bailey and brings them to his house. Christie follows them trying to rescue the trio, trapped in the house of sadistic and insane cannibals, in a trip of horror and gore. When Samantha "Sam" Callen (Shannon Sturges) gets off the plane in Byron, Texas, her assignment from the National Accounting Office is to pull the plug on the tornado project of Dr. Branson (Ernie Hudson). He has created a machine named PATTI to gather information from within a tornado that will help track and predict future storms. Six years into the project, Dr. Branson is just now ready to test PATTI. Not completely unsympathetic, Sam plans to give Dr. Branson a few days to fine-tune his machine. Dr. Branson and Sam drive into town with Jake Thorne (Bruce Campbell), a handsome, cocky, tornado-chasing cowboy who works with Dr. Branson. Despite an involuntary mutual attraction, Sam and Jake get off to a start that's bumpier than the road they're driving on. Lodging at the Thorne farm, Sam meets Ephram (LQ Jones), Jake's grand-father, whose devastating childhood experience has left him passionate about tornadoes. Texas Senate Under Siege
On May 25th, 2011 Alex went to the Texas capitol to protest the sabotaging and attempted sinking of the anti-TSA bill HB 1937 which the Texas house unanimously voted in favor of. Alex Jones and crowd chant from the steps of the Senate chamber, which the media reported was audible inside the chamber and temporarily halted the passage of other bills. HB 1937 would make it a felony crime for a TSA employee to reach under clothing or touch the genitals of passengers it screens. The bill presents a serious challenge to the assumed authority of the TSA agency, so it is no wonder why the establishment moved swiftly to intimidate Texas lawmakers andthreaten a flight blockade to stifle to the legislation. Since the protest we've made progress. Supporters are trying to get the bill called to special session, as detailed by Kurt Nimmo in an article he wrote for infowars.com entitled 'Texas Moves to Bring Back Anti-TSA Groping Bill'.

Texas To Bataan
In the 17th of the 24 films in Monogram's "Range Buster" series, Texas ranch owner Conroy (Steve Clark) returns from Washington with an order for horses to be shipped to the Philippines. The Range Busters, Dusty (John King), Davy (David Sharpe) and Alibi (Max Terhune), are selected to take the horses there but, before leaving, they capture three spies who are trying to steal the horses and also learn that the ranch cook, Cookie (Escolastico Baucin), is a Japanese spy, but he manages to escape. In the Philippines, they go to a cafe for dinner and see Cookie and Miller, a German spy. Eavesdropping, they learn that Ken Richards (Frank Ellis), a neighboring Texas rancher, is the Axis contact back in the states. They capture Cookie and break up the spy ring in the Phillipines, and then return to Texas intent on settling matters with Richards. They do so and are honored by the US Government just as the radio blares forth the December 7, 1941 announcement of the Pearl Harbor bombing. They head for the nearest enlistment station.
