Following the disbanding of bassist Jeff Ament and guitarist Stone Gossard's previous group Mother Love Bone, the two recruited vocalist Eddie Vedder, guitarist Mike McCready, and drummer Dave Krusen to form Pearl Jam in 1990. Most of the songs began as instrumental jams, to which Vedder added lyrics about topics such as depression, homelessness, and abuse. Ten was not an immediate success, but by late 1992 it had reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. The album produced three hit singles: "Alive", "Even Flow", and "Jeremy". While Pearl Jam was accused of jumping on the grunge bandwagon at the time, Ten was instrumental in popularizing alternative rock in the mainstream. A man survives a fall from a plane and his fiancée marries someone else before falling in love with a marionette; a surgeon causes the death of a patient and in prison tries to choose his mate; a woman encounters Jesus in Mexico and later confronts her husband on the Sabbath; twins and their mother reflect on fatherhood; covetous neighbors miss a chance to be heroes; and, between each story, Jeff's love triangle with Gretchen and Liz plays out. "Ten Years Gone" is a song by English rock band Led Zeppelin from their 1975 album Physical Graffiti. Originally intended to be an instrumental piece, Jimmy Page used some 14 guitar tracks to overdub the harmony section. Robert Plant later added lyrics, which are dedicated to an old girlfriend who, ten years earlier, had made him choose either her or his music. Plant explained in an interview in 1975: Let me tell you a little story behind the song '"Ten Years Gone" on our new album. I was working my ass off before joining Zeppelin. A lady I really dearly loved said, "Right. It's me or your fans." Not that I had fans, but I said, "I can't stop, I've got to keep going." She's quite content these days, I imagine. She's got a washing machine that works by itself and a little sports- car. We wouldn't have anything to say anymore. I could probably relate to her, but she couldn't relate to me. I'd be smiling too much. Ten years gone, I'm afraid. Anyway, there's a gamble for you.[2] Some have speculated that this song was a variation of the never-released Led Zeppelin track "Swan Song", the name they chose for their own record label. Joe originally wrote it on piano as a reflection of 9/11. Coming back to it on the Super Colossal record in 2006, he tried to write ten words for the title - based on the repeated ten note phrase (2:29-2:38) - but found that it was impossible to do, so he left it ambiguous. The intro section is from his song Turkey Man, and you can also hear it during the Rubina performance on his Live in San Francisco DVD.

The President of Gallifrey summons them to join forces to save their own past and the Universe's future, but to do so means revisiting a privotal moment in their own personal history. Three of them are dispatched to rescue the First Doctor, the remainder must locate the Second... but, having been removed from his time-stream, he now only exists in a temporal pocket created by the Time Lords themselves, when they deposited him on 20th Century Earth in 'The Three Doctors'. It is to these events his other selves must visit, to find and retrieve their second incarnation. Many thanks to timelord1993 (Sam) for allowing me to incorporate his lovely opening title sequence with all ten actor's names in it. It made it all look a lot slicker. I'm currently aiming to complete PART TWO for New Year's Day. Hopefully I'll be able to make that deadline! Enjoy :)

Top Ten Nostalgic Animated Shows
...of the 1990s and early 2000s. Without a doubt the video I put the most passion into and the one that took the longest to finish, I feel Top Ten Nostalgic Animated Shows is my finest work to date. My first countdown (aside from the BEER countdown) to not have anything to do with video games, this video was created as both a reflection of the shows I loved as a kid and a video highlighting the animation of the 1990s and early 2000s. With this, I aim to be able to show this video to anyone, as a nostalgic trip for those my age and as an informative piece for all other generations. I took fan suggestions into account with this video in terms of how it would be made. I've decided to use far less cutaway gags, and have gone back to focusing on narration that aims to both inform and pique interest. The result is something that I feel is very natural on my part. So now, enjoy my latest labour of love! A few notes: -I regretfully have never seen Invader Zim due to it having aired in Canada past 2005 (my cut-off date for this video). It's really a shame since I hear that as a show it has many things I would have liked. -My Little Pony Friendship is Magic is not nostalgic. It aired WAY past my cutoff date. -I'd mention Dragonball Z... but it would take me 20 episodes to do it. In all seriousness, I DID watch the show, but I remember not being into it as much as the other shows on the list... and yes, it took FOREVER to get anything done.
