While we do know that the story surrounding Taylor being cast at Leonardo was a total prank, film database site IMDB, does have him attached to an untitled Michael Bay project, so perhaps this casting rumor could become a reality. We think Taylor could be a great choice for the film -- keep in mind -- he has incredible skills when it comes to martial arts and stunts. And with success of another wildly popular cartoon-turned movie (Transformers) under his belt, we're counting on Michael Bay to deliver greatness whether or not Taylor Lautner joins to the cast! In this episode, we're talking all about Taylor Lautner. Taylor Lautner did indeed have an entire life before grabbing the role of Jacob in 2008's Twilight film. While the werewolf character really catapulted Taylor Lautner into stardom, his big-time breakout into the industry was at the age of 13 when, because of his karate experience, he booked a starring action role in tThe Adventures of Shark Boy and Lavagirl 3-D. Taylor intensely trained in martial arts starting from the age of 6, and through the years, he won several gold medals and ranked number-1 internationally in multiple Black Belt competitions. In fact, it was reportedly his instructor who encouraged Taylor Lautner to audition for a Burger King ad when he was 7, which he didn't book but it made him want to pursue acting and ultimately he and his family moved to sunny Los Angeles at the age of 10.
