Taylor Guitars Responds to "United Breaks Guitars"
Bob Taylor lends his support to Dave Carroll and guitar players everywhere. Taylor has had an artist relationship with Dave for several years now. In 2006, our owners magazine, Wood&Steel, reviewed Daves CD, Sunday Morning. As weve had an ongoing relationship, we have made the offer to replace and/or further repair his damaged 710ce. As a Taylor artist, weve offered Dave our support, a choice of a new guitar and to re-repair the damaged 710ce. Dave and his bandmate Julian made the trip to the Taylor factory in July and have met many of our staff. Well also be running a story on Daves experiences in the fall issue of Wood&Steel.
Taylor Guitars Baritone
Taylor baritone guitars are designed for playing in a lower register with normal string tension, thanks to a longer 27-inch scale length. Tuned to B (BEADF# B), the deeper acoustic tone is voiced with the GS body shape and a wood combination of Indian rosewood with Sitka spruce. A great choice for singers with a lower vocal range or players who favor a detuned sound, the baritone is offered as either a 6-string or an 8-string with two added octave strings that expand the tonal range.

I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. James Taylor guitar lesson (Never Die Young) -- by ThinkingDog
Lesson notes on James Taylor's unique guitar style, including examples of some of his most commonly used chords and embellishments plus detailed notes on "Never Die Young" -- one of JT's best songs (IMO) and a great example of his melodic fingerpicking technique. When I was first getting into the acoustic guitar, JT inspired me to look beyond just strumming chords. He approaches the guitar like a piano player -- incorporating bass lines, melodies and harmonies simultaneously while making it all sound deceptively simple. I think he's generally under-appreciated as a guitar player -- in my view, he's one of the best acoustic players out there. I feel the need to add a disclaimer here: Ive learned a number of JT songs over the years, but I dont always capture every note accurately and Ill never get the exact technique or feel that he brings to the guitar because Im not that good, and theres only one James Taylor. Obviously the best way to really learn JT's distinctive style of guitar playing is to spend as much time as possible listening and studying his recordings. I'm playing a Taylor 810 with Elixir polyweb strings, light gauge (.012 - .053). I hope this video helps; remember not to get too hung up on nailing every note, instead concentrate on getting the feel and groove first -- that's what matters most to the player and listener. Enjoy, and keep playing!

Taylor 110 Acoustic Guitar Review
I just bought this guitar around a week ago and after examination, i don't think i could have bought a better guitar for the money. It lack's some of the "low's" that you may find on martain guitars but it does have a very crisp, bright, clear, loud sound. The neck, like most taylor's is extreamly comfortable and playable. The taylor 110 will set you back around 600$ retail and comes with no electronics. Also not too mention the guitar is very well built and is equipped with quailty craftsmanship.
