There's no way for me to answer this question. I also don't know many many dreads it'll take to do a whole head of hair. How dense do you want the dreads to be? How think is your hair? Styling Synthetic Hair: Boiling Water
This is just one of the many many different ways to use boiling water to style synthetic hair. I'll cover some of those different ways that do and don't involve water later on in different videos.. ;) There are a lot of different types of synthetic wigs/extensions out there. Styling it this way is mainly for non-heat resistant hair, or synthetic fibers that are mixed with human hair. BUT you can still use it for high-heat resistant, and human hair pieces too!! Like I mention in the video, if you aren't doing this for a wig and are just using this for extensions, or a hair piece you can just put a cup of water in the microwave until it's nice and hot. Once the water is hot enough dip the hair in the cup for a few seconds, and follow the same steps for drying/styling. How long you leave the cup in your microwave depends on the microwave itself, but 5 minutes usually works. If it isn't hot enough just pop it back in there for a little longer. ;) www.petrilude.com http www.facebook.com

Along with the Bombey india ink. It works in the same process. Just be very careful in covering the cheap white craft fur if your doing neko ears it tends to want to not take alittle you just have to make sure you coat it well and let it dry throughly. Cheers!" EDIT: Oki. Sooo...I got a question about doing small streaks...or something like that...and I forgot my answer, BUT I just realized! Eheh. If you need to do a TINY area in a specific color and your wig is light enough, you color it directly with Sharpie and rinse it with cool water. For example: White wig + Purple streak = Yippee! or Light purple wig + Dark purple roots = Yayz. BUT: A black wig + blond streaks = Boooo. Or a brown wig + white roots = OH NOES. Soo...if you need to do light parts on a dark wig, sew in some wefts, dummy! There ARE a few tutorials out there...Katie Blair...I think. I know a few on deviantArt, too ...

how to easily straighten a synthetic wig
Synthetic wigs are plastic, so hot irons can melt them or do some damage. Here's a method i do to get curly wigs silky straight. Remember, if it's not straight enough the first time, you can repeat the process. Take alot of care when combing it, use a wide tooth comb and work your way down to a smaller one if necessary because wigs don't grow back if you pull the hair out.
