This unit installs seamlessly, replacing your neck pickup with the Sustainiac pickup/driver and the circuit board goes inside the guitar cavity near the volume control. I did have a 9V battery pocket routed into the back of the guitar. With the optional housing available it looks professional. I had my local shop do the install since it can be involved. Guitar Dead Spots - Lack of sustain on certain notes? A dead spot 'may' be your problem.
A full setup and many checks where made to the guitar before I came to the conclusion of it being a dead spot. Pickup height change, action change, string change, truss rod, etc.. etc. This WAS NOT A SETUP ISSUE in this particular guitar! Please note that this video represents my views on 'dead spots' as I currently understand it. Many others refuse to believe it exists. Others believe it can be fixed by a good setup and others who accept it as a character of the guitar. Hopefully this video will help you form your own conclusions. This is a video I made for another website at the end of 2011. I'd just bought a Schecter C-1 Custom and was having issues. The issues I was to learn where called 'dead spots'. Diagrams in the last quarter of the vid. This vid is my 'attempt' to expalin the phenomenon and what you can do to rule out any other problems that may be giving you similar issues. BTW... Other than the dead spot it was a nice guitar. This video is not meant to be a slight on the quality of Schecter. Schecter produce excellent guitars for the money.... I was just unfortunate and this phenomenon can occur at any price point.

Originally written by Frank Fisherman as his reaction to the EXXON Valdez disaster and the increasingly obvious signs of global warming, EDIT reinvented "Sustain" in 2010 by incorporating their take on alarming environmental conditions and apathetic ecological neglect. Although largely a fusion of drum and bass and alternative rock, EDIT's indie release, "Sustain", defies classification and their message strikes at the heart of today's most pressing environmental issues. As the first line proclaims, "Climate change is not a myth." EDIT is Becca and Nick Thipsingh, a husband and wife duo whose first project is a multimedia collaboration with family members. Although this is not a production that you would normally expect from DTFishProductions, I felt it related to an important issue that we should all be concerned with. The music and lyrics were created by my family members, and I wanted to share it. This was never released on Itunes but maybe one day =)

Gracias por visitar mi video (es el primero). A pesar de tener un poco de antigüedad alguien (ya sabe quien) me ha inspirado a empezar a subir videos. Les paso a explicar paso por paso: Se necesita: - Cable de 2 conductores ( tiene dos secciones de cobre separadas por aislantes). - Ficha Mono ( si, MONO) Tomamos el cable y los pelamos por los dos extremos obviamente. Los 2 terminales de un lado ("puntas") los unimos a los hojales de la ficha. Conectamos el cable al teclado (NO DA CORRIENTE) y unimos los terminales. Volia!!!! Tenemos el efecto deseado. Para el pedal usé dos maderitas unidas por una bisagra, un resorte a la mitad del eje X, ya 1/4 de la parte superior del eje Y. A las maderas le clavan 2 chapas (procurando que hagan contacto al apretar el pedal) y conectan cada terminal a las chapitas. Les agradece su humilde servidor, francoliveri
