AR opens up new possibilities by allowing the user to interact in the virtual world through traditional printed materials. The Standard 5: Special Effects designer, Kit Hinrichs of Studio Hinrichs, and Lisa Murphy of Metaio, an augmented reality company, talk about how AR expands the print experience and how it can be leveraged to create more sophisticated communications tools. Kit and Lisa demonstrate AR with "Super Dude" a character featured in The Standard 5. By tilting left and right, Super Dude comes alive, jumping and juking bowling balls, soup cans, and a dinosaur among other surprises.

EA Skate 3 - SuperDude Ledge Kick
Not my finest effort on this trick, but a quick demonstration of a little glitch/physics exploit- with proper rotation and timing, you can actually kick yourself away from the lip of a quarterpipe while doing a SuperDude. I've gotten much better distance on two occasions: during a challenge [which I neglected to replay/save], and free skating [which I didn't land, so I didn't save it]. Better timing = better distance. Experiment, see what you can do, post your results as video responses. But one day after having 2 seizures due to watching 3 days straight of "Monty Python's Flying Circus", his TV exploded not one foot from his face. Because of his Conviniently damaged body and high surge of electricution, a very bizzare thing happened it did- he woke up an hour later in his parent's attic (with some weird cat following him) descovering that he had developed powers beyond anything he could have ever imaginged. be that as it may, he had no imagination but it was still really cool

Upon landing his boss, lays him off officially due to there no longer being any danger, therefore his super hero services are no longer required. Nice. The Local Librarian takes notice and gives Super Dude a tour of the Dodge Center Library, explaining how the local library may help him get his career back on track. Super Dude and his situation are meant as a metaphor for returning veterans who have given so much for their country, only to find a very slow job market, and economy upon returning home. Surfer Dude Meet Super Dude
Another beautiful Sunday in the Adelaide Parklands, Ted's Surfer Dude made a re-appearance for a further test flight, nearly there, just a little more trim to change. Super Dude turned up, but the general consensus was he needs another bowl of cornflakes. Trey maidened his Icanfly trainer.
