The Kinks " Waterloo Sunset
The Kinks are an English rock group formed in 1963, and categorised in the US as a British Invasion band. The Kinks have been cited as one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time. The Kinks first gained prominence in 1964 with their third single, the hit "You Really Got Me", written by Ray Davies. The band's name came from their "kinky" dress sense of leather capes and boots worn on stage.The group's original line-up consisted of Ray Davies on lead vocals/rhythm guitar/keyboards, Dave Davies on lead guitar/vocals, Pete Quaife on backing vocals/bass guitar, and Mick Avory on drums and percussion. Following Quaife's departure in 1969, the band centred around the three remaining original members and frequently changed bassists and keyboardists. This Bachata dance was improvised at the park on the last 5 minutes of the day. We jumped out of the car fascinated for a sun that was looking like going for a dive on the lake. It was a fresh Sunday afternoon on this park of South Florida. I setup a little digital camera on movie mode by the dock and, after turning the music on, rushed to warm up my girl with the proximity of my body and the leading of my hand. For those of you that were not there I can tell you it felt like a "novella". I'm glad I have had the opportunity to share it with you and so many other sensible souls. Bachata is a dance with little or not rules. As soon as you feel the music you can dance it with sophistication or totally raw. Overall Bachata is, without a doubt a rhythm of passion.
