It lasted from the first settlement of Eridu in the Ubaid period (late 6th millennium BC) through the Uruk period (4th millennium BC) and the Dynastic periods (3rd millennium BC) until the rise of Babylon in the early 2nd millennium BC. The term "Sumerian" applies to all speakers of the Sumerian language. Although other cities pre-date Sumer (Jericho, Çatalhöyük and others, either for seasonal protection, or as year-round trading posts) the cities of Sumer were the first to practice intensive, year-round agriculture (from ca. 5300 BC). The surplus of storable foodstuffs created by this economy allowed the population to settle in one place instead of migrating after crops and herds. It also allowed for a much greater population density, and in turn required an extensive labor force and division of labor. This organization led to the necessity of record keeping and the development of writing (ca. 3500 BC). It is wonderful the new revelations that have been coming out in the last decade. Not only have there been exponential numbers of finds of new Sumerian tablets, but they have also found more Lexicons and Sumerian to Akkadian and Sumerian to Phoenician lexicons basically which took any subjections to the current translation methods and really solidified the original lexicon found years ago. We can also realize that is was very probably the Celestial battle that originally seeded Tiamat/Earth with the original genome for life. We can say that's why all life on earth is very similar and can be based upon a few original genomes. Planet X and Sumerian tablets Researchers Jason Martell and Erik Poltorak (Parker) shared their expertise in Sumerian history, ET visitations and modern and ancient reports of Planet X. Appearing in the 2nd hour, Martell noted the recent findings of Japanese astronomers at Kobe University who have posited that an Earth-sized 'Planet X' could be moving through our solar system on a highly elliptical orbit. Martell also discussed the 'Nemesis' theory which suggests that a Planet X orbits a second sun (a failed star or Brown dwarf) and may dislodge comets and send them towards Earth. For instance, the Sumerians described "Adamu" as the first man, created by Enki (a ruler from Nibiru or Planet X).
