'Cop brutality fuels fire of student anger in Canada'
160 protests within just two months - and Canada's student uprising continues unabated. And, with new clashes on Thursday night, the standoff over tuition fee hikes is turning increasingly violent. Centering on the country's second largest city of Montreal, clashes resumed after talks collapsed between student leaders and authorities. Riot officers charged, maced and detained dozens of protesters, while the police chief publicly complained that his forces were worn out. The students are incensed over a tuition fees rise which the government says is necessary. But journalist Bernard Desgagne, says heavy-handed policing will only provoke the students further. Students tear-gassed in clashes with police in Canada
In Canada, riot police used tear gas and stun grenades to disperse hundreds of students protesting outside a government building in central Montreal. At least two demonstrators and two officers were injured in the violence and seventeen people were arrested. Students are angry at a planned 75 percent rise in tuition fees. They've been demonstrating almost daily since declaring a boycott on classes over two months ago, with the government refusing to back down. Citizen journalist Bernard Desgagne says that the situation is getting more violent and that the police reaction towards protesters is too brutal. www.scoobysworkshop.com Good nutrition is the secret to both losing fat and gaining muscle, in this video I show you how to eat 6 inexpensive, nutritious meals a day without cooking or shopping. This video is in response to the hundreds of people who have written me saying they knew their nutrition was horrible but felt powerless to improve it because of the schedule constraints of their work, school, or life. Eating 6 small, well balanced meals a day is easy when you know how and once your nutrition is on track you will find it easy to reduce bodyfat to show those 8-pack abs and gain muscle too. The one thing you need to do though is get rid of the idea that food always has to be tasty. Jack LaLane had a great saying "If it tastes good, spit it out!" and its so true. If something is that good then its most likely got too much sugar, salt, fat or artificial flavors. When something tastes really, really good your first thought should be - "whats in this?". Think about what you are eating! If what makes it taste good is the nasty stuff mentioned above then spit it out. Obviously if you are eating a carrot or an apple and it tastes good this doesnt apply. The saying is designed to make you think about everything you eat. If you dont know what is on the list of ingredients and its nutritional content then SPIT IT OUT! (just waiting on a new camera) FUN FACTS: 1) We used clip mics for this film, can you guess where they were? 2) One shot in this cost me about £100 to make, you can probably guess which one. 3) We did about 5 takes of the 'sandwich toss' shot. Twice it landed in the Nutella, once in the sink and another time in a saucepan.
