1963 Fender Stratocaster 01045
This near mint custom color pre-CBS "L" series "Spaghetti Logo" Stratocaster weighs just 7.10 lbs. Solid alder body, one-piece medium profile maple neck with a fat nut width of just under 1 11/16 inches. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fretboard with clay dot position markers. Three single-coil pickups with balanced outputs of 6.27k, 5.68k, and 5.65k. Fender "Synchronized Tremolo" combined bridge/tailpiece. There are a few miniscule surface marks on the body edges and a couple on the back but otherwise this forty-six year old custom-color Stratocaster is in near mint (9.25) condition, and is certainly one of the finest examples that we have ever seen. Original Fender cream hardshell case. A fabulous example.

Nylon Stratocaster
Still some things I need to fix on it, but it's definitely playable as it is now. Although the action is very high, and there's also some intonation problems. For those that are interested about the specs; Fender Japan body from the 90's Warmoth (scalloped) neck w/ XJ frets and Sperzel locking tuners (locking tuners is a must!), and a graphite nut. I'm not sure graphite is the right way to go with nylon though, so I'll probably try something else. Fender tremolo bridge with piezo pick-ups on the bridge saddles. The piezos are GraphTech's Ghost system, which also has MIDI out available. The pick guard is very custom - i carved it out myself. I'm going to build in a compressor (BOSS CS3) under the pickguard, and also a simple eq which will be controlled by pressing the volume knob. All powered by a 9V battery. For now the strings are medium tension, but I think that causes some problems, so I'll try extra high tension too see if it plays better. That's about it i guess! 1970 Fender Stratocaster 01022
www.frettedamericana.com This "Hendrix" Stratocaster has a solid alder body, contoured on the back and lower bass bout that has been professionally re-finished many years ago in Olympic White and weighs 7.40 lbs. One-piece 'birds-eye' maple neck with a nut width of 1 5/8 inches, a scale length of 25 1/2 inches and a very comfortable medium-to-fat neck profile. Veneer rosewood fretboard with 21 original frets and pearloid dot position markers. Large headstock with decal with Fender logo in black with gold trim. Three light gray bottom single-coil pickups with staggered polepieces and outputs of 5.48k, 5.40k, and 5.50k. There is some light finish checking and a few miniscule surface marks. The re-fin is of the highest professional standard and was most probably done in the eighties. The 'Birds-Eye' pattern on the face of the headstock and the back of the neck is quite beautiful and this 'Hendrix' Strat is an exceptional player in excellent plus (9.00) condition. Complete with the original tremolo arm. Housed in its original Fender black hardshell case with dark orange plush lining (9.00).

Juicy upgrades include a richer, deeper neck tint for a more elegant and expensive appearance; glossed neck front for improved looks with satin back for smooth playability; and bent steel Fender saddles with classic look and great tone. One-piece alder body, contoured on back and lower bass bout, maple neck, and veneer rosewood fretboard with 21 frets and pearloid dot position markers. Small headstock with "transition" logo. Single "butterfly'"string tree. Individual "two-line" Kluson Deluxe tuners with oval metal buttons (stamped inside "D-169400 / Patent No"). Neckplate with four screws and serial number ("L71636") at the top. Three white plastic-covered staggered-height pole pickups with balanced outputs of 6.15k, 5.58k, and 5.54k. Three-layer white plastic "green" pickguard with eleven screws. Three white plastic knobs (one volume and two tone) plus three-way selector switch. Six-pivot bridge unit with through-body stringing. The end of the neck is stamped "2APR65BC", the pickups are all dated "5-3-65," and the pots are dated "1376514" (CTS, April 1965).
