STEEP is a feature documentary about bold adventure, exquisite athleticism and the pursuit of a perfect moment on skis. It is the story of big mountain skiing, a sport that barely existed 35 years ago. It started in the 1970s in the mountains above Chamonix, France, where skiers began to attempt ski descents so extreme that they appeared almost suicidal. Men like Anselme Baud and Patrick Vallencant were inspired by the challenge of skiing where no one thought to ski before. Now, two generations later, some of the world's greatest skiers pursue a sport where the prize is not winning, but simply experiencing the exhilaration of skiing and exploring big, wild, remote mountains. STEEP features many of the sport's greatest athletes including Bill Briggs, Stefano De Benedetti, Eric Pehota, Glen Plake, Shane McConkey, Seth Morrison, Chris Davenport, Ingrid Backstrom and Andrew McLean. The man who is often described as the greatest big mountain skier of all, the late Doug Coombs, is the character at the center of STEEP. He died in a skiing accident in La Grave, France, in April, 2006, just days after being filmed for STEEP. His rich life and tragic death reveal the essential question at the heart of big mountain skiing: How does a skier weigh the risks versus the rewards of a sport where the possibility of dying is ever-present? STEEP was shot on High Definition and on film in Alaska, Wyoming, Canada, France and Iceland.

Christy was born in London, England. She studied at the Bush Davies Ballet School as a child, before she decided to become a musical artist. Christy was a member of several bands. Her first band, Pink Ash, consisted of six male members and herself. Her stage name was Susie Reptile. After frantically writing and looking for inspiration from her keyboards, Christy achieved both a publishing deal with EMI and a major label record contract with Polygram Records. She released her self-titled debut album on February 19, 1993, including the singles "You Read Me Wrong" and "Steep," which targeted the adult contemporary market. Her second, Breed, was released on July 22, 1997 and featured a substantially different style than Lauren Christy, being more of a pop rock album. In 1994, Christy had a minor AC hit with "The Color of the Night", the theme song to the Bruce Willis film Color of Night. After the song gained airplay, her eponymous debut album was re-released with "The Color of the Night" included as a bonus track. Three years later, she contributed the song "Breed" to the Batman and Robin soundtrack, which was also released as the first single for the Breed album. Though the song's video received heavy rotation on MTV, the single and album failed to chart. The second single, "Magazine" also failed to make an impression. Though Breed is Christy's most recent full length album as of 2007 (reportedly plans for a third album were shelved with the demise of Mercury Records ...

Climbing a steep ramp on Cruzbike Vendetta
Here I climb a steep ramp with like 13% percent slope, it is quite doable but the inherent instability of this Moving Bottom Bracket bike at very low speed makes it uneasy on very steep ramps, you have to stay very focused because if you wobble a bit too much you can't catch up and you go down. This has to do with the weight of the legs that move with the boom , so if your boom move a bit too much sideways, the weight of your legs take you down. In that sense the Vendetta is solely for motivated cyclist who really focus, it is not a bike for everybody because it is highly technical.
